With WrestleMania 40 in the books, Triple H is looking to change things in the WWE and usher in a new era. Draft is a special event which takes place annually and is quite popular among the fans. It has brought several surprises and provided many jaw-dropping surprises over the years. Superstars from SmackDown and Raw can be drafted to the rival brand during the WWE Draft. It also involves several superstars from NXT being called to the main roster depending upon their performance.
This year’s draft involves huge superstars, including CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, and many more. With a lot of excitement and hype in regards to the new era, fans are expecting a lot of big things from this year’s draft. Karrion Kross and The Final Testament to RAW
Karrion Kross is one of the most skilled wrestlers on the SmackDown roster currently. Since his days in WWE NXT, he has shown massive growth and improvement with spectacular matches under his name. In recent days, his faction The Final Testament which includes the Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar with Paul Ellering) has been feuding with Bobby Lashley’s The Pride faction.
After suffering a loss at the hands of The Pride at WrestleMania XL, Karrion and his faction have nothing much to do with the blue brand. Fans have high hopes for Kross and things might get different if he arrives on RAW during the upcoming draft.
Randy Orton to RAW
The Apex Predator of WWE returned at Survivor Series last year and is currently on the Blue brand. Things have been weak for Orton since his return. He has been involved in the World Title and US Title feuds but has lost both of them over the months. In his most recent bout, he ended up losing to Logan Paul at WrestleMania XL for the US title in a triple-threat match.
It might be the best time for Orton to switch brands and have a fresh start on Monday Nights. He has several potential rivalries on RAW including superstars like CM Punk, World Champion Damien Priest, Gunther, and many more high-level stars.
Shinsuke Nakamura to SmackDown
The King of Strong Style has been on a roll since 2023 with several big feuds. Shinsuke Nakamura had a long rivalry with Seth Rollins for the WWE World Championship in 2023, giving outstanding performances. He then further had a short rivalry with Cody Rhodes at the start of 2024 which saw how brutal Nakamura can be with his heel character.
Given his heel work, he deserves a lot more than always losing his rivalries. By the looks of it, he is currently being used as an enhancement talent. As the draft approaches, Nakamura may look to find himself a place on the blue brand with new things stored for him.
Ilja Dragunov to SmackDown
Draft always brings a couple of NXT superstars on the main roster with massive build and hype. This year’s top NXT contender looks to be the former NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov. He has been a phenomenal talent and has been giving top-tier matches as champion.

After his reign ended at NXT Spring Breakin’ Week One on Tuesday, April 23 against Trick Williams, Ilja might join the main roster which will further benefit his career going forward.
Jey Uso to SmackDown
Since Payback 2023, Main Event Jey Uso has been a singles competitor and a part of RAW. He has blasted off on the scene with his extreme capabilities and continues to wow the audience. Jey battled his brother Jimmy Uso at WrestleMania 40 which was the final note in their chapter.
After Jimmy was brutally attacked by Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa on SmackDown after WrestleMania 40, he desperately needs his brother. With odds against him, Jey might be the one who can support him in these times.
You never know what WWE Draft brings to the table
There has been a long history of the WWE Draft over the years, and it is always unpredictable. While there are several superstars on the deck that might be traded, many superstars also make their shocking returns during this event. Over the years Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and many more superstars have returned during the same event.
Alexa Bliss is one of the names who might make their shocking return to action during the draft event. She has been away from the company for a long time due to maternity leave. Another superstar with the same situation is Carmella. The Staten Island princess might be drafted to RAW or SmackDown and she may make her epic return during the event.
With the whole Uncle Howdy thing going on each show, Braun Strowman is another huge name who might appear during the event. Strowman hasn’t been in action since last May and could be one of the surprises on hold. It all comes down to April 26 as the WWE Draft starts from WWE SmackDown and ends on RAW on April 29, 2024.
