5 WWE Superstars Who Went From Professional Wrestlers to WWE Producer

WWE is a very big organization. It takes a lot of qualified personnel to handle a big company like this. There are staff members from all domains working behind the scenes to bring the WWE product that we see every week. These staff members are counted as the backbone of the company. Many WWE superstars have also worked as background staff. Here are 5 WWE superstars who have worked backstage.

5. WWE Hall of Famer Molly Holly 

Molly Holly is a  two-time WWE Women’s Champion as a wrestler. In 2021, Holly was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. After her inclusion in the Hall of Fame. She would go on to perform the duties of a producer for the WWE.

Currently, Mighty Holly is providing her experience and knowledge to upcoming superstars. Holly also works very closely with another former WWE superstar Tyson Kid. Tyson kid is considered to be the best producer in WWE mainly due to his excellent work in the women’s division. 

4. Curtis Axel

There are strong rumors that Curtis Axel is going to make a comeback in WWE. This time he won’t be fighting in the ring but will be handling things outside the ring. Axel spent 13 years as a WWE superstar. When he was released by WWE on 30th April 2020 he could have joined other organizations.

However, Joe Henning did not join any pro-wrestling organization. On the contrary, he gave a trial as a producer, and it looks like WWE could be looking at bringing him back to the company in the new role. 

3. Suprise return of Ariya Daivari

Ariya Daivari was a part of the WWE roster from June 2016 to June 2021. He was let go from the company due to budget cut issues that the company faced owing to the COVID pandemic. After being released from WWE, he would go on to perform in AEW, NWA, and NJPW.

Daivari also gave the trials for a producer spot on Smackdown. According to reports, we could see Daivari back in the WWE as a producer. 

2. The heartbreak kid Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels is one of the greatest professional wrestlers and entertainers that the WWE universe has ever seen. In the beginning, The Heartbreak Kid was assigned as a coach, but with time his role changed significantly. Mr. WrestleMania currently works as a producer and writer in NXT UK and NXT.

The main job of Michaels is to work on the character development of young and new superstars. Most Famously he has played an important role in the story development of Bianca Belair. 

1. Bruce Prichard

Bruce Prichard is known as the right-hand of CEO Vince McMahon. Presently, Bruce is the Executive Vice President of WWE. He is also very influential in the decisions making for both RAW and SamckDown.

Most recently Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard changed NXT to NXT 2.0. Besides that, he is considered to be the man in power in WWE apart from the McMahon family.
