WWE Superstars have created a lot of records in the past and are always the talk of the town for their immense contribution to the wrestling world. The company itself is having one of the best phases in its history in terms of ticket sales and viewership. Sales and viewership records have consistently been broken in the last couple of years in the WWE.
From John Cena to Natalya, numerous WWE Superstars have achieved great success in the WWE and created several records. Wrestlers like The Rock and John Cena are some of the names who have created insane world records outside the squared circle. The Cenation Leader has an insane world record regarding his 13 WWE Championship wins from 16 World title reigns.
Outside of the WWE, Cena has granted a record number of wishes under the Make-A-Wish campaign. On the other hand, The Rock holds the world record for being the highest-paid actor and the highest salary for a first-time lead in the film ‘The Scorpion King’. It shows that WWE Superstars are constantly working hard to earn huge records.
However, several other superstars set some unwanted records in the history of the WWE. Join us as we look at some of the most embarrassing records created by WWE Superstars.
Shortest world title reign
The Giant Big Show has given several unforgettable moments to the WWE Universe. His raw strength and brute force are unmatched, making him champions several times. Show has been in the WWE since the Attitude Era and has also been a part of WCW in his lengthy career. However, his World Heavyweight Championship reign was one reign he would like to forget.
In 2011, Big Show competed against Mark Henry in a Chairs Match for the World Heavyweight Championship at the TLC pay-per-view. Big Show won the World Heavyweight Championship by landing a “knockout punch” on the World’s Strongest Man. Following the bout, Mark Henry used a chair to assault Big Show and applied a DDT on the chairs.

In less than 45 seconds, Daniel Bryan, accompanied by a referee, ran out to the ring, cashed in his Money In The Bank Contract, and pinned Big Show. Unfortunately, these 45 seconds turned out to be an embarrassing record for the Giant as Big Show has the record of having the World Title for the shortest time.
Longest losing streak in WWE history
Even while long-reigning winners are a common memory for WWE fans, nobody should overlook the biggest losing streaks in the company’s history. There have been some extraordinarily lengthy loss streaks in WWE throughout history. No one has a larger losing streak in the company’s history than Curt Hawkins. He went on to lose 269 straight matches, so much so that he had merchandise honoring the absurd run of defeats.
But Hawkins was clever enough to portray this losing run as a storyline, which encouraged fans to get attached to his persona. All of that paid off, though, when he and Zack Ryder broke the record at WrestleMania and emerged victorious as the Tag Team Champions.
Shortest time in the Royal Rumble match
The Royal Rumble match is always an exciting encounter to watch. It displays extreme levels of athleticism and risks as superstars showcase their stamina and extraordinary talent to win the match. The match itself has a lot of unpredictability in it as each year fans scratch their heads in thinking about the potential winner. However, Santino Marella wouldn’t have a fond memory of the match.
Santino entered the ring at number twenty-eight in the 2009 Royal Rumble. It would not be shocking that he would be cocky going into the contest given his late arrival. Funny enough, Kane was already set up to throw him over the top rope. Kane quickly eliminated Santino as soon as he stepped into the ring. Less than two seconds is the shortest time spent in the Rumble, according to the record books, which he alone possesses.
Won the Royal Rumble more than once but failed to win at WrestleMania
Only a few wrestlers have had the opportunity to run it back and win the Royal Rumble more than once in their illustrious careers. Stone Cold Steve Austin is the only superstar to win a record three times in his captivating career. Wrestlers like John Cena, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Edge have also edged their names in the record books by winning the match twice in their careers.
However, out of these, Edge remains the only superstar to lose his title match at WrestleMania. This unwanted record started when The Rated R Superstar returned at the 2010 Royal Rumble match and had a World title match against Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 26. The Ultimate Opportunist also main evented WrestleMania alongside Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan in 2021. Unfortunately, Edge lost both of his matches.
Only superstar to lose a title match on their special day in under two minutes
Various WWE Superstars have uniquely celebrated their birthdays while being inside the squared circle. However, the same case does not apply to Natalya as she has an unwanted record on her name. Though the third-generation wrestler has six Guinness World Records under her name, she also has an underwhelming record under her name.
At Night of Champions 2023, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion lost to Rhea Ripley in 69 seconds. Remarkably, on her big day at a significant Premium Live Event, she lost a title bout in less than two minutes. In a long list of remarkable records, this might be the worst one for the Queen of Hearts.
The most disliked video on WWE’s social media channels
The Rock made his shocking return to the WWE at the start of 2024 and instantly made several headlines. Although the return of a major celebrity like Dwayne Johnson was a huge step forward, some fans did not take well to it. With over 500,000 dislikes on social media, the segment involving The Rock and Roman Reigns has become the most disliked video in the history of the company.
The Rock surely didn’t expect this much heat which proved to be another exciting run of the Brahma Bull. He turned himself into the Final Boss and gave fans something they never expected. The top-tier storyline involving Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, The Rock, and Seth Rollins made the Road to WrestleMania XL even more exciting and entertaining.
