It is finally time for AEW’s Revolution Pay-Per-View. Follow us and we will be giving our Live updates from the moment the main card begins. This is a stacked card. Adam Cole vs Hangman Adam Page for the AEW World Title, AEW World Tag Titles are on the line, the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match, AEW Women’s Title is also on the line tonight and there is more.
Buy-In
We had 3 matches in the Buy-In. I know I will have a lot to talk about during the main show. So, let me run through them real quick.
Kris Statlander vs Legit Layla Hirsch
Kris and Layla have had been feuding with each other for a few weeks now. Heading into this match, Layla had gotten the upper hand with a few chair shots to Statlander. The match was decent. Layla took a good beating. After all that, Layla took the cheap way out. She hit Statlander with a Turnbuckle extension and hit the Moonsault for the win.
And @legitleyla steals the win!

Hook vs QT Marshal
This was a no-brainer. The sole purpose of this match was for Hook to show more of his wrestling ability. Hook locked in the RedRum and in no time, QT tapped out.
#HOOK (@730Hook) with a HUGE win over @QTMarshall!

The House of Black vs PAC, Penta Oscuro and Erick Redbeard
This was another really good match. Both teams were given enough freedom to showcase their individual strengths. Redbeard had a good showing. Redbeard was on the verge of getting the win but unfortunately, he felt the mist of Malakai Black and that allowed Buddy to hit the running knees and Brody hit his finisher allowing Malakai to pin Redbeard.
#HouseOfBlack just one step ahead of #DeathTriangle again, snatching the victory tonight! What an insanely physical battle to set the tone for the night! #AEWRevolution PPV starts in just a few minutes! Available on @BleacherReport & @FiteTV (Int.)! pic.twitter.com/GraFBzd82A

The Main Card
After that incredible Buy-In, we kicked off the main show with Chris Jericho vs Eddie Kingston
Chris Jericho vs Eddie Kingston
The fans went crazy for “Judas”, but Jericho walked in with all seriousness.

Eddie Kingston walked in and once the bell rang, he instantly hit a snap-German Suplex and it looked like Jericho was out of the match already. But the self-proclaimed ‘Influencer‘ fought back hard. Jericho hit a Lionsault and a Code Breaker but that did not end the match. Kingston stayed alive. He countered the Judas Effect and hit the Back-Fist. Jericho kicked out.

After a tough and hard-fought battle, Kingston knocked Jericho out with 2 back-to-back Back-Fist. Kingston was not done, he locked in the Arm-Breaker. Jericho was forced to tap out after Kingston stretched the Arm to almost breaking it.

Kingston wanted the handshake that Jericho had promised. Jericho tried to shake hands with Eddie Kingston but he could not and he just walked away.
The Young Bucks vs reDragon vs Jurassic Express(C) – AEW World Tag Team Titles Match
I usually am not a fan of the concept of tags in a triple threat match. But this was exceptional. One thing I always love about AEW matches is that every superstar is booked to be in the spotlight at least once in the match. This match was also exactly that.
Jungle Boy kick-started the high-flying moves with a Tope-Suicida to take out the rest of the competition.

The YoungBucks and reDRagon had a good partnership going, but that did not last long. Despite that, we saw some insane and unique innovative offence.

Face of Revolution Ladder Match
This so far is the match of the night. The big guys in the match truly stole the show. Orange Cassidy put in a lot of effort to take them out of the match but sadly it was all proved to be worthless.

Wardlow took out the other big guys by slamming them on the side of the entrance ramp. We then got a small cameo fro Dan Housen but that also proved to be pointless.

Wardlow caught Starks at the top of the ladder and powerbombed him onto the bridged ladder. Absolute Starks may have absolutely been murdered, hope he is okay. But that murderous powerbomb allowed Wardlow to climb the top of the ladder and grab the Brass Ring and win the match.

TBS Title Match
This was a short match, but that was highly expected. Jade Cargill’s toughest opponent yet. But to be honest, Cargill ran through Conti.
Jade started off this match by having an “intimate” moment with Tay Conti. It was an interesting strategy to throw Conti off her game.

Despite Anna Jay hitting Cargill with a steel chair, the TBS champion stayed in the match. Jade Cargill got the win after hitting the Jaded on Tay Conti.

CM Punk vs MJF (Dog Collar Match)
This was a brutal match. It kicked of awesome as MJF mocked the fans by coming out after Punk’s theme was played. CM Punk then made his entrance to his old ROH Theme Song by AIL. Punk was busted open early but that did not put him out. We saw the steel in the collar, thumbtacks, steel steps all used in this match.
Punk risked his own health and hit a Tombstone on apron.

In the end, MJF called out Wardlow and asked for his ring, Wardlow said he did not have it and in the meantime, Punk recovered and pulled MJF back to him. It was at that time, Wardlow took out the ring and threw it in the ring and left.

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) March 7, 2022
Sadly, this match was the disappointing moment of the night. It was slow paced and Britt’s bodyguards interfered throughout the entire match. They spoiled every opportunity Thunder Rosa had. Thunder Rosa got tired of it and decided to take out the outside interference first. But that little window gave the opportunity for the Role Model to recover and in the end Britt Baker won the match with the stomp.

Both superstars beating the holy hell out of each other. We all knew this was going to be a blood bath. But I never expected multiple headbutts would get them both busted wide open at the same time.
Once both began to bleed, they got even more energetic and vicious.

Jon Moxley no-sold a Dragon Suplex, but ate the Bazaiko Knee. Danielson went for the pin but Moxley kicked out at 2 and 3/4ths. The American Dragon locked in the Triangle choke and out of no where Moxley countered that into a roll-up and got the pinfall win.
Danielson was not happy one bit over this. Both Bryan and Moxley continued to brawl. The brawl was broken off by none other than the legendary, William Regal himself! He slapped the taste out of both Moxley and Danielson. The two opponents then shook hands. It looks like Regal will be managing this ‘Dream Tag Team‘ of Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson.

Mark Quinn entered the match and threw a steel chair at Sammy Guevara. If that was not enough, the Butcher and the Blade popped up and helped AHFO. They were setting up a pile of tables at one end of the arena. You pan the camera to the entrance ramp, Sammy Guevara was with Mark Quinn. Sammy hit a Spanish Fly from the top of the panel onto 2 tables.

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) March 7, 2022
Page recovered, hit the Dead-Eye, then moments later he hit a Tombstone Pile-Driver, but still Cole kicked out. It was so awesome that the fans were chanting “This is Adam” opposed to the usual “This is Wrestling” chant.
Adam Cole looked for an Avalanche Panama Sunrise, but Page countered and hit an Avalanche Fall Away Slam and went for the pin but Cole kicked out.
Upon seeing this, out came reDRagon.
With the reDRagon distracting the referee, Cole hit a low blow followed it with a Panama Sunrise and followed that with the BOOM. Went for the pin, 1…2… and Page kicked out. reDRagon pulled out a table and asked Cole to hit the Panama Sunrise onto it. Cole went for it but Hangman countered it with the Dead Eye and onto the table. Then out came Dark Order and brawled with reDRagon resulting in them taken out of the equation.
Page then hit a vicious BuckShot Lariat and went for the pin. Cole managed get his fingertips onto the bottom rope.

Page was irate, he wanted to end it, he tied Cole to the top rope using his belt and hit multiple SuperKicks. We got a SuperKick party from both of them. In the end Page hit Cole’s finisher The BOOM and followed it with a BuckShot Lariat for the win!
Adam Page retained. He even took the hand of a beaten down Cole and shook it, showing his respect to Adam Cole.
Page retained but truly, both these stars deserve a standing ovation. What an absolute banger of a match.

For me, AEW Revolution is a solid 9 out of 10. Other than the Women’s title match, every other match was a banger!
