Cole Palmer’s consistent form has been talked well enough throughout the season. However, the 22-year-old was especially fantastic in the month of April, which saw him bag goals and assists for fun.
The Premier League has duly recognized his efforts during the period and has awarded him with the Player of the Month Award. This is some very exciting news for Chelsea fans who would be excited to know about the strides that the youngster has made in his debut season.

The English midfielder has, however, even crossed the numbers of Eden Hazard. Cole Palmer had an unbelievable April 2024, that saw him score 2 hattricks in consecutive matches.
The 22-year-old scored a hattrick against Manchester United and then scored 4 goals in the game versus Everton, a few days later. The hattrick against Everton was a historic one as Palmer scored three goals in under 30 minutes, which is the fastest perfect hattrick (left foot, right foot, header) in PL history.

His amazing performances in the month of April were instrumental in Mauricio Pochettino and Co. having a great month of soccer after repeated disappointments. The team accumulated a respectable 8 points in 5 games, suffering just one defeat in the process. Meanwhile, Chelsea has carried on its form to May as well where it has remained unbeaten in the 2 Premier Leagues, scoring 7 and conceding 0 goals.
‘The Blues’Â have even been able to climb up to the top half of the table after their recent run of form. Chelsea are 7th on the table after 35 games with 54 points and are just two points off 6th placed Newcastle United.
Cole Palmer talks about his dream debut season after winning Chelsea’s POTS award
The Englishman has won a flurry of prestigious awards in recent times. On May 7, 2024, Cole Palmer was awarded the honor of Chelsea’s Player of the Season in 23/24. It is a remarkable achievement for a young Englishman to win a POTS award in his debut at his new club. The 22-year-old was certainly very overwhelmed by the honor and decided to express his gratitude after receiving the award.
He said (via Chelsea News), “It’s been a dream debut season for me. Thank you to the manager, staff, players, and, of course, the fans. I just came to play to showcase my abilities and talent to the fans. It’s gone amazing, probably better than I’d imagined. Buzzing!”
He also revealed the Chelsea player whom he voted for and in the process informed us about the player with whom he enjoys playing the most. He said, “I voted for Malo Gusto. I love playing with him on the right. He’s been amazing this season when he’s played as well.”

Malo Gusto has been a shining light in the leaky defense of Chelsea. The Frenchman has combined his offensive and defensive responsibilities pretty well and looks to be a leader of the Chelsea backline for the coming years.
Also, it’s a good thing that Cole Palmer has found the perfect partner in the form of Malo Gusto, as it would improve the duo’s performance. Chelsea really has a young and talented team and it would be interesting to see if the team is able to make good use of their capabilities.
