Alexander Zverev and his personal life
There’s some good news coming in for his female fans and that is the 24-year-old is unmarried. However, he has been linked to various women over the course of his short and illustrious career. He tells that he completely focuses on his playing career. But has that always been the same for him? Reports tell us that Zverev was dating the German model Brenda Patea. This was fine until news broke out that less than 12 months into their relation, the model was expecting a child.
But before the birth of their baby, the two mutually agreed on parting their ways way back in August 2020. Brenda though gave birth to a baby girl in March 2021. She was named Mayla. Earlier comments from Alex suggested that he wanted to raise Mayla as a co-parent but he had to face a lot of criticism from his ex. Patea shot back at Alexander for lying, and revealed that despite knowing about her pregnancy, they have not been in touch.
Brenda Patea also said “I have been seeing all these interviews with Alex lately, I really wonder what he wants to achieve? ‘Highlight of his life? ‘He is pleased’? ‘Greatest place’? I hardly think so. Because we have no contact! And so far nothing has come from him! We were in contact a few months ago…”
The allegations from Olga Sharypova
Not only this, the tennis superstar has been in the spotlight due to some other allegations as well.
When Brenda Patea revealed on Instagram that she has his baby, another of his former girlfriend Olga Sharypova also claimed that the Tennis ace had been abusing her physically during their time together. Olga was also an emerging tennis player from Russia and came in contact with Zverev in their early teens through the tour. They only started dating in September 2018.
“The first time was in Monaco in his apartment,” she said in the interview. “I was going to leave because we had a really big fight. I was standing in the hallway, and he hit my head into the wall.”
Sharypova later claimed that during the 2019 US Open, Zverev threw her “onto the bed, took a pillow, and then sat on (her) face.” As a result, she left the hotel, barefoot, with just her phone in her hand.
A few weeks later, Sharypova said that they had their worst fight. “In other fights, he was pushing me, shoving me, twisting my arms, choking me. But this was the first time he punched me, really punched me”. She says the abuse she received was so severe that at one point she tried to end her life.
Later Zverev denied the allegation made by her ex-girlfriend and said that her claims are simply “unfounded” and “simply not true”.
