The 2024 ATP season has officially completed a month. The events have been scheduled until November as players prepare for another hectic year. After the Australian Open ended on the 28th, the Sud De France Open began on the 29th. While most players chose to skip it, some will play in the ongoing Montpellier event.
The players will now see 12 events conducted in February, the most in a month this season. All these 12 events are split into four coinciding dates. There will be eight ATP 250 events, while the rest will be ATP 500. The inauguration of the clay season can also be seen next month. The top players will collect crucial points while playing most of the events.
Dallas Open, US (5-11th Feb.)
The ATP 250 event will begin on 5th February and continue until 11th February. It is the only ATP tour indoor event in the US. The 56th edition will not be featuring players from the top ten. The top four seeds do not feature former champions in the main draw.
Yibing Wu is the defending champion and defeated John Isner in the final. Reilly Opelka has been the only American player since Andy Roddick in 2008 to collect multiple titles at the event. This time, the Americans are the top seeds in the event.
- Frances Tiafoe is the top seed; he lost in the second round of the Australian Open.
- Tommy Paul will play at the event for the first time and reach the third round in Melbourne.
- American sensation Ben Shelton will be the favorite to win the title this season and was upset in the third round of the Australian Open.
- The 2024 season has not yet provided a breakthrough for Christopher Eubanks; he reached the second round at the Australian Open.
Open 13 Provence, France (5-12th Feb.)
The 31st edition of the Open 13 Provence will begin on 5th February and go on for a week. The event is held in Marseille, France. Jo- Wilfried Tsonga was the last Frenchman to win the title in 2017. Stefanos Tsitsipas has been the only player outside France to win multiple titles since Thomas Enqvist in 2002.
- The top seed at Marseille, Hubert Hurkacz, has played 10 matches this season and reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
- It will be the fourth appearance for Grigor Dimitrov at Marseille and had made his debut in 2009. He faced a shocking third-round defeat at the Australian Open.
- The 2018 winner at Marseille, Karen Khachanov, is looking to improve his form next week. He lost in the fourth round at Melbourne.
- Home crowd favorite Ugo Humbert is the highest-ranked Frenchman this year at the event. He is a two-time semifinalist at Marseille. Humbert lost in the third round of the Australian Open.
Cordoba Open, Argentina (3-11th Feb.)
It has been five years since the Cordoba Open debuted on the ATP tour. It will be the first clay court event of this season. The event has seen three winners from the country, with a new winner each season.

The ATP 250 event this time comprises youngsters in the main draw. The tournament will start on 3rd February, and the final will be held on the 11th.
- The top seed this year at Cordoba will be Francisco Cerundolo. He had lost in the second round of the Australian Open.
- The 2023 Cordoba champion, Sebastian Baez, will be eager to start a winning streak at home. He lost in the third round of the Australian Open.
- Tomas Martin Etcheverry reached the third round of the 2024 Australian Open. It will be his fourth consecutive appearance at the event.
- Sebastian Ofner, the only Austrian in the top 50 ATP rankings, plays for the first time at the event. He lost in the opening round at Melbourne.
ABN Amro Open, Netherlands (12-18th Feb.)
The first ATP 500 event of the season, ABN AMRO Open, will be held at Rotterdam. The event will begin on 12th February and go on for six days. Since Tom Okker won the inaugural edition in 1974, no player from the Netherlands has won the event.
In 2020, Gael Monfils became the first player since Robin Soderling in 2011 to win consecutive titles at Rotterdam. This year, five players from the top ten will be featured in the event.
- The top seed at the event, Daniil Medvedev, will be looking to avenge his Australian Open final defeat to Jannik Sinner.
- The 2024 Australian Open champion, Sinner, is on a seven-match winning streak.
- The 2021 champion at Rotterdam, Andrey Rublev, lost in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
- Holger Rune is currently playing at Montpellier as a wildcard. He is the fourth seed at Rotterdam this year. Rune crashed out in the second round of the Australian Open.
Delray Beach Open, US (9-11th Feb.)
The champions list at the Delray Beach Open is very diverse. The last 13 editions have seen a new player win each time. It is the only tennis event where players from the ATP and WTA share the same courts in the same week. It made its entry into the sport in 1993 and is a 250-point event.

The top three seeds are Americans, and only one player will be from the top ten rankings. Tiafoe and Paul will also be playing in the main draw.
- The defending champion, Taylor Fritz, is in good form and reached the last eight in Melbourne.
- Currently, in his career’s best ranking, Adrian Mannarino reached the fourth round of the Australian Open.
- A qualifier in 2019, Daniel Evans was the runner-up in 2019. He suffered a first-round loss at Melbourne.
- Making his debut in the event, Matteo Arnaldi reached the second round of the Australian Open.
IEB+ Argentina Open (12-18th Feb.)
The second clay court event will start on 12th February. This year will mark the 24th edition of the ATP 250 event. The event will be held at Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club, known as the “Cathedral of Argentinean tennis.”
Diego Schwartzman in 2021 was the last Argentine to lift the title. The event has so far seen five countrymen lift the trophy. Argentinians Cerundolo and Baez are among the top five seeds.
- The defending champion in the event, Carlos Alcaraz, will be playing in his second event of the season. Alcaraz lost in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
- From starting the 2024 season with three consecutive wins, Nicolas Jarry had a disappointing first-round loss at Melbourne.

Rio Open, Brazil (19-25th Feb.)
This season will see the 10th edition of the Rio Open. The event began in 2014 and has been happening every year since except in 2021 due to the pandemic. So far, no player has won the event twice, and Alcaraz will look to make history this year. In 2022, he won the title in Rio and became the youngest ATP 500 champion.

Rio Open is the first ATP 500 clay court event of this season. Alcaraz, Norrie, Cerundolo and Jarry will be the top seeds at the event. The matches will start on 19th February in Rio de Janeiro.
Qatar ExxonMobil Open (19-25th Feb.)
It is one of the favorite events of the players on the ATP tour. The Qatar ExxonMobil Open has won the ATP 250 Tournament of the Year award five times. The event will be starting on 19th February. Defending champion Medvedev will be the top seed this year, followed by Rublev.
It is one of the most awaited events on the tour this season, as Rafael Nadal is expected to make a comeback at the venue.
- Nadal became the first Spaniard to win the singles title in Qatar in 2014. He will return to the court after suffering an injury while losing in the quarterfinals at Brisbane International.
- Two-time winner and last year’s finalist, Andy Murray, will look forward to breaking his losing streak this season. He lost in the opening round at Melbourne.
Mifel Open, Mexico (19-24th Feb.)
Since debuting on the ATP tour in 2016, the Mifel Open has been a standout event in Mexico. This season’s second seed, Stefanos Tsitsipas, will look to become the first player to win multiple titles at the event. The matches will start on 19th February.

The ATP 250 event will witness three players from the top ten feature in the main draw. Norrie is the only player to feature in two finals at the event.
- The top seed at the Mifel Open this year, Alexander Zverev, will be playing at Las Cabos for the first time. Zverev reached the semifinals of the Australian Open.
- The defending champion, Tsitsipas, will play in his second event of the season. He lost in the fourth round of the Australian Open.
- The runner-up last season at the event, Alex De Minaur, is in good shape. He reached the fourth round at Melbourne.
- Casper Ruud is looking to win his first title in 10 months. He lost in the third round of the Australian Open.
Dubai Duty-Free Championships (Feb. 18-March 2)
Since its inception on tour in 1993, the Dubai Duty-Free Championships has been one of the most star-studded events on tour. Only two players have won multiple titles at the event. Roger Federer holds the record with eight wins, and Novak Djokovic has triumphed five times.
Fans are waiting for the world No.1 to return on tour in Dubai. He will joined by defending champion Medvedev, Rublev and Hurkacz as the other seeded players. The ATP 500 event will be starting on 18th February.
- Djokovic will be hoping to assert his dominance on the tour after losing in the semifinals of the Australian Open.
- Felix Auger Aliassime is currently playing at Montpellier. He lost in the third round of the Australian Open.
Abierto Mexicano Telcel, Mexico (Feb. 26 – March 2)
The only ATP 500 event in Mexico this season is the Abierto Mexicano Telcel Open. In its 30th edition last year, De Minaur became the first Australian to win the event. Since 2014, the event has been played on hardcourts after completing two decades on clay. David Ferrer is the only player to win titles on both surfaces at the event.
The event will begin on 26th February at Acapulco. Fritz, Ruud, and Tiafoe are the top-seeded players at the event. Matteo Berrettini is expected to make a comeback on the tour at the event. He last played at the US Open a few months ago.
Chile Open (Feb. 24 – March 3)
It will be the fifth time that the Chile Open will be held on the clay courts of Santiago. The event was also held at Vina Del Mar. The ATP 250 event has seen three Chileans wear the crown. The event will start on 26th February, and the finale will be held on 3rd March.

The top seeds of the event are Jarry, Baez and Etcheverry. Arthur Fils will be the fourth seed this time and has won five matches this season. He reached the second round of the Australian Open. The event can expect a new winner for the 12th consecutive time.
