After a sensational win over Jannik Sinner, he came in with his head held high and the hunger to progress into the semi-finals of the tournament.

Andy Murray v/s Tommy Paul – As it went
As the match started, the American international started to take control of the set. He took an early lead and did not give his opponent many chances. This resulted in him winning the first set easily. The first set read 6-2 in the favor of the unseeded player.
The second set was the only chance for the 2 time Olympic Gold medalist to make a comeback. He eventually succeeded in doing so. In the second set, Andy Murray showed some good tennis and won the set quite comfortably with a scoreline of 6-3. Then it all came down to the third and the decider set.
The winner of the set would eventually take the match and the ticket to the next round. With so much on the line, the American player stood up and took the opportunity. Tommy defeated Andy 6-3 in the decider set. Tommy had won 89 points compared to Andy’s 70. Also, Tommy had won 39 receiving points while his opponent Andy Murray was able to take only 18 of those.

After being shown the way out of the tournament, Andy Murray will now focus on the upcoming tournaments. the player from Scotland will now turn his attention to the Australian Open that is scheduled next year in Melbourne.
