How much will Anthony Joshua make for the title defense against Oleksandr Usyk?

Anthony Joshua is set to make a whopping £10 million for his boxing bout against Oleksandr Usyk. While there are no official figures, according to Total Sportal, Joshua could also earn in the range of £15 million.

Meanwhile, Oleksandr Usyk could earn in the range of £3 million. It will be the career best purse for Oleksandr Usyk who will look to make a statement with a win over Anthony Joshua. However, it will be easier said than done.

Oleksandr Usyk is a former Olympic gold medalist and remains undefeated in his professional boxing career. He made his heavyweight debut against Chazz Witherspoon, winning the bout via seventh round stoppage.

Usyk would then take on boxing veteran Derek Chisora, winning the bout via unanimous decision. In what will be the biggest bout of his professional boxing career, Usyk will look to create an upset as he takes on Anthony Joshua next.

Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua is coming off an incredible stoppage win over Bulgarian’s Kubrat Pulev. He last competed inside the ring back in December of 2020. Joshua is eyeing to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world and will look to get a win over Oleksandr Usyk to keep the hugely awaited showdown against Tyson Fury alive for the undisputed gold. However, a lot will depend on the outcome of Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3, set to go down in October this year.
