WWE’s next stop on the PLE list was the Money in the Bank event live from Toronto, Canada. The Canadian crowd was thrilled to see every match unfold and were as loud as they could be. Money in the Bank had a stacked card with five matches in store which included two title matches and two Money in the Bank ladder matches. The main event featured a heavy six-man tag team match between the Bloodline against Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Kevin Owens.
Fueled by anger and violence, Solo Sikoa marched towards the ring with his cousins receiving a flood of boos from the crowd. As fans were excited to see Jacob Fatu make his in-ring debut for WWE, they were equally expecting a surprise return of the Head of the Table Roman Reigns. The Canadian crowd let their emotions out with chants like “We want Roman” and “F*ck you Solo” throughout the match.
With a lot of hot tags, extreme spots, and thrilling action, the match delivered in the aspect of everything. Jacob Fatu’s presence ignited things even more. His shocking athleticism and terrifying maneuvers were the main highlights of the match. However, things took a massive turn as the referee was knocked out in the middle of the match. This saw a vicious low blow by Tonga Loa which gave Bloodline the upper hand in the match.
What happened after was shocking to see as Solo Sikoa proved his dominance with a strong statement. With a heavy attack on the WWE Champion, Solo pinned Cody Rhodes in the middle of the ring to win the match for the Bloodline. Given the amount of personality Rhodes has been developing being the WWE Champion, it was shocking to see him lose to the Bloodline in this manner.
Solo Sikoa would look to dethrone Cody Rhodes to win the WWE Championship
As Solo shocked the WWE Universe by handing a devastating loss to Cody, fans were not happy with the outcome of the match. Several users commented about the finish stating it was unnecessary and was not needed. “Why pin Cody? Makes no sense” wrote a fan while another user stated, “Why pin the champion by someone like solo?”. ““Bad Finish, Bad Booking,” said another user on the finish damaging Cody’s championship run.
As Solo made a statement by defeating Rhodes and Co., he aims to take out the WWE Champion as a part of his plans now. With such a dominant display, Solo would be looking to insert himself in the world title picture and compete for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
The Enforcer was also seen mocking Roman Reigns throughout the match. From wearing the Ula Fula to hitting a spear at Cody, Sikoa did everything he could to take shots at Roman. After his dominant display, he commanded respect from everyone using Roman’s catchphrase “Acknowledge Me” hinting about another huge rivalry with Reigns in store. Only time will tell how Solo will draw his path alongside his cousins and how Roman’s return would affect his plans.
