Jo Lindner, famously known as Joesthetics, died at the young age of 30 due to an aneurysm. An aneurysm is a condition where an artery balloons up and damages the body. The German influencer, who had an unwavering dedication to bodybuilding, did, however, admit to using steroids. On the other hand, his coach, Greg Doucette, revealed another big problem with his consumption.
Doucette explained that Lindner used to consume an unhealthy amount of coffee. The drink helped him to curb his appetite, however, this was not good for his health.
Doucette said, “One thing I do know is that Joe Linder struggled to stay in that lean [shape] all the time. He was constantly battling hunger and was drinking a ton of coffee. I believe he said at one point he was drinking four liters a day. And if the coffee had a lot of caffeine, which is a stimulant, this can dramatically reduce your appetite.
“Now we all know that the combination of anabolic steroids and vigorous weightlifting can lead to left ventricular hypertrophy but we also know that if you take a lot of stimulants this can place a greater demand on the heart.”
Doucette also explained that even though coffee is legal it is still a drug. In the video, he also explained his relationship with Lindner. He said that they have been friends for the past three years and had been writing to each other. They have helped each other with their YouTube videos. Doucette also mentioned that he helped coach him for a couple of recent competitions and knew his various intakes.
Lindner died on Friday at the age of 30. His death has been mourned by the online fitness community. The German was very well-known and had millions of followers.
Jo Lindner’s first meal of the day was 1 liter of coffee
In a 20-minute video posted by Lindner on his YouTube channel, he explained what he consumed in a day. As explained by his coach, it was seen that Lindner used to consume unhealthy amounts of coffee. He began his day by drinking a liter of coffee. Yes, the first thing he consumed was one whole liter of coffee.
He says, “This is how everything starts. Yeah, so we start the day off with one liter of coffee okay and that’s our first meal. Literally, for me, this is the first meal.”
Reports suggest that Lindner suffered from various diseases including Rippling Muscle Disease and gynecomastia. It was speculated that one of these diseases caused his death. However, it was later confirmed that it was an aneurysm that led to his untimely death.
