In a GQ Sports interview, Haney touched on the subject. He said, “The most important essential to me is The Quran. I’m a voice for 2 billion Muslims all over the world. Allah has definitely advanced my boxing career. It was kinda like a family thing how I converted over to Islam. But Islam, since I have converted, it changed my life.”
“Whatever you’re going through in life, the Quran has answers. It’s important to have faith,” said Haney. “That’s why I say it[praise to Allah] so much because I’m thankful for everything that he’s blessed me with.”
In March of 2023, Haney took to Instagram to share about his trip to Mecca, a place that holds utmost importance in the Islamic world.
