Controversial internet star Andrew Tate has just finished giving his first interview with BBC since his prison release in March end. In what appears to be a fiery sit-down with the broadcaster Lucy Williamson on Thursday, she challenged ‘Top G‘ on his ideology and the allegations against him.
In late December last year, Romanian authorities arrested Andrew and his brother Tristan over allegations of organized crime, human trafficking, and r*pe. During the combative interview, the 36-year-old repeatedly dismissed the BBC’s questions about the said allegations. He instead demanded to ask his own questions, while blasting them over their attempts to “vilify” him.
I harbour no hard feelings against the BBC or any journalist who attempts to lie about me.
The truth of my message is known and good will continue to spread.
Tolerance and love for all.

Lucy asked him a series of questions regarding the alleged s*xual exploitation of women, misogyny, and more. While trying to defend his reputation, Tate also expressed his mistrust of traditional media. Up until now, his views had gone unchallenged in a direct sit-down interview like this. Andrew repeatedly dismissed the testimonies of individual women involved in the ongoing investigation.
Fans can find the full interview on Rumble’s Tate Speech by Andrew Tate channel. During a particular segment, Lucy says, “The national police chiefs leave for violence against women, they’re all naming you as being behind an epidemic of misogyny.” To this, the former kickboxing champion responds with, “Is that your argument?” Williamson swiftly answers back with – “It’s the misogyny that comes along with it.”

‘Top G’ asks Lucy to connect the dots between misogyny and owning a “nice car.” The 48-year-old journalist looks stunned before responding, “Because you have an image of financial gain.” At this point, Andrew’s legal team chimes in and speaks with Lucy. Tate’s representative says, “I’m sorry. These are very long-lived questions and this is not what we discussed. You were sitting there and just accusing (Andrew). We are not here to face new allegations.”
Followed by this, Andrew Tate says, “It shows the world the truth about the legacy media. Because they beg me for interviews. They beg me. You’ve been begging me for months. ‘Please, we need to be relevant.'” Tate reaffirms his belief in being a “good positive influence” on the world.
“Do you believe you’re the most influential man on the face of the planet?” Tate immediately fires back with – “I’m the most googled man on the planet.”
Followed by this, a visibly exhausted and deflated Lucy calls an end to the interview with – “I think we’re done.”
Andrew Tate ordered to stay under house arrest for 30 more days
After spending over 90 days in prison, Romanian officials moved the Tate brothers and their two alleged associates into house arrest. Since then, the duration of the arrest has been extended a few times, keeping them confined within their home boundaries.
For now, it seems like the controversial star will be staying in his home for another whole month. On May 31, Andrew took to Twitter to share the news of his most recent house arrest extension.
The 36-year-old wrote – “30 More days of house arrest. I have not been free for a single day this year. Sometimes in life… you just have to bite the bullet.”
30 More days of house arrest.
I have not been free for a single day this year.
Sometimes in life… you just have to bite the bullet.

It is noteworthy that this isn’t the first time Tate was approached by a major name in the media for an interview. Earlier last month, Matt Shea requested ‘Top G’ for the same. Prior to this, the 31-year-old filmmaker had produced what Andrew claimed was “a hit piece” on the him.
Despite a lot of bargaining from Shera’s side, Andrew never gave him a chance to film another documentary on him, leaving him out in the sun. Tate then went on to put the entire recorded incident on his Rumble channel with the title – ‘The Comical Demise of Vice News.’
Up until now, the Tate brothers have repeatedly maintained innocence in the sensational case. The duo alleges this is a conspiracy by “the matrix” to silence them. Both Andrew and Tristan are now in their sixth month under judicial control as the investigation goes on. Any indictment is expected within the next few weeks.
