The boxing fight between YouTuber turned pro boxer Jake Paul and the former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley is certainly an unusual matchup.
But the rivalry started with the lockerroom altercation between Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul’s teammate, J’Leon Love. Tyron Woodley was there to corner his friend, Ben Askren who was fighting Jake Paul on the main event of a Triller PPV.
And after Ben Askren failed to defeat The Problem Child, the fight between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley came to fruition.
Though Tyron Woodley is a much better striker compared to Ben Askren when it comes to fight promotion Ben Askren is a genius. And Jake Paul certainly agrees with that notion.
In a recent episode of the Impaulsive podcast, Jake Paul revealed his frustration with Tyron Woodley for his lack of involvement in promoting the fight. Jake Paul even said that Ben Askren is a much better opponent than Tyron Woodley when it comes to promoting a fight and praised Askren. Jake stated:
“I have carried all the promotions for this. He has not done a single thing. He might the worst fighter to ever do social media ever. He just reposts everyone’s story on his story. Someone mentioned me, add the story, add the story, doesn’t even add text. That’s now how you do social media.”
“There was a point people legitimately thought Ben was gonna win because of how he was selling it like he was training his a** off and the odds shifted. But Tyron has the built-in star power of being a bigger fighter than ben already.”
Jake Paul claims he will finish Tyron Woodley inside 8 rounds
There were certainly a lot of fans who believed that Ben Askren would beat Jake purely because of the fact that Askren was the first opponent of Jake’s boxing career. But, even if Woodley is a much better boxer, Jake is a huge favorite going into the fight.
In fact, Jake Paul is confident that he will finish Tyron Woodley inside 8 rounds on August 29th. The Problem Child predicted his fight against Woodley and stated: “I don’t see it going 8 rounds. I don’t think I will have to use my cardio for this one.”
What do you think about this matchup? Can Tyron Woodley beat the Problem Child inside the boxing ring?
