In a surprising sequence of events, Errol Spence Jr. vs Terence Crawford’s weigh-ins have been headlined by Caleb Plant and Jermall Charlo. A new backstage video that was released shows that former IBF super middleweight champion, Plant, struck WBC middleweight champion, Jermall, right in the face. However, Jermall was not the only Charlo taken to the cleaners.
It has been reported that Jermall Charlo’s wife was also caught in a squabble with Jermell Charlo’s wife. For context, Jarmall and Jermell are twin brothers and both are professional boxers. The cause of the partner’s fight is not known. However, it is seen in a video that Jermall’s wife was clearly the one that suffered.

Jermall and his wife have been going through a rough divorce. In the past few months, it was even reported that Jermall earned custody of all five of his children. However, nothing has been reported about them finalizing their divorce.
Caleb Plant smacked Jermall Charlo in the face
The T-Mobile Arena in Vegas was a witness to multiple fights that were not scheduled to take place there. The only event scheduled for Friday was the ceremonial weigh-ins of Errol Spence and Terence Crawford. However, the first hit that was landed on the day was by 168-pound fighter, Plant.
It’s unclear why Plant slapped Jermall. After the squabble was broken up, Caleb yelled, “Don’t you ever grab me by my motherf****in’ face again like that, boy.”

Plant, who has a record of 22-2, has had beef with Jermall for a while now. Plant called him out prior to his fight against David Benavidez in March. The 31-year-old said he wanted Jermall if he could not fight Canelo Alvarez next. However, Canelo will be up against Jermell next, in September.
Jermall has not competed professionally since 2021. He claimed a unanimous decision win over Juan Macias Montiel in his last bout to retain the WBC middleweight title. It is reported that Jermall has been facing difficulties regarding his mental health and personal life.
