Yesterday was a great day for fight fans around the world as they were able to witness a thrilling heavyweight contest between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk. After the end of 12 rounds, the Ukrainian boxer emerged triumphant via unanimous decision to become the new heavyweight champion.
Following AJ’s loss, several fans and analysts made some harsh comments regarding the British boxer. Surprisingly, Deontay Wilder’s coach Malik Scott came to Joshua’s rescue as he posted a story in defense of the former heavyweight champion. “If anybody sends me a message calling Anthony Joshua a bum or talking derogatorily about him because he lost to a great fighter I’m blocking you immediately.”
Despite the warning, one user called “AJ is a bum” in Malik’s AMA session on his Instagram page. To this Wilder’s trainer had a great response. “At least he’s a history-making rich bum and now you’re piece of shit that just got blocked.”

However, Malik Scott supporting Wilder’s heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua is very fascinating considering the fact that the two heavyweights have spoken ill about each other on various occasions.
Malik Scott believes that Anthony Joshua should stick to the same team and accept the rematch immediately
Despite losing his world heavyweight titles to Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua will have a chance for redemption. Owing to the fact that there was a rematch clause in their contract. As a result, several analysts and fans advised the British fighter to change his team for his rematch.
However, Malik Scott who is a trainer of Deontay Wilder had a different take on this matter. He believes that Joshua should stick to his team, make adjustments and come up with a better game plan for the rematch against the Ukrainian fighter.
During a Q&A session of Scott on Instagram, a fan raised a question of whether AJ should take the immediate rematch. To this question, Malik Scott responded “Yes” in his Instagram story. In the end, some might not agree with Malik and believe that Joshua should take a break from the sport for a while to recover after suffering a tough defeat against Usyk.
