Teofimo Lopez suffered a shocking split decision defeat against George Kambosos Jr in a thrilling 12 round contest that took place at the Madison Square Garden in New York. Following this upset, his lightweight rival Devin Haney went on Twitter and commented on Lopez’s performance.
The WBC champion blasted the Takeover by saying “I hope it all make sense now! Teo was a f***** fraud!”

Haney did not stop at this as he continued bashing Teofimo and posted another tweet where he called him crazy. “Oh yeah Teo has gone crazy… I told y’all this already ????”
It is needless to say that Haney would not miss an opportunity to take a dig at Teofimo Lopez after his loss. Because the two lightweight boxers share bad blood and have engaged in a back and forth on several occasions.
What’s next for Devin Haney?
Devin Haney is set to defend his WBC lightweight title against interim champion Joseph Diaz next weekend on 4th December. Consequently, there will be a lot of eyes on Haney, whose undefeated record will be on the line.
Apart from being focused on his upcoming fight, the Real also has his eyes fixed on the unified lightweight titles as he wants to become the undisputed lightweight champion.
With George Kambosos crowned as the new unified lightweight champion, his primary interest has shifted from facing Teofimo Lopez to Kambosos. The Real expressed his wish on Twitter to face George Kambosos Jr after the Australian defeated Teofimo Lopez.
Congrats @georgekambosos well deserved victory you worked hard for it! Let’s make it happen for all the belts ! #RealUndisputed

But things could take a huge turn if Haney fails to defend his title against Diaz next weekend. A loss for the WBC champion would mean that we could see a matchup between Devin Haney and Teofimo Lopez.
