Dillon Danis shares an old photo of Ariel Helwani with OJ Simpson on Twitter and it backfires!
Fight fans know Dillon Danis as Conor McGregor‘s sidekick. Hanging around with Conor has its perks and it kept him in the headlines for quite some time. However, it looks like Danis is branching out of McGregor’s shadow and he is trying to create his own legacy in combat sports. He will take the first step toward it against KSI in January of the next year.
He recently appeared in “The MMA Hour” and had an entertaining back-and-forth with the host Ariel Helwani. Usually, Helwani is very polite with the guests when they are on the show. However, it was different with Dillon Danis. Ariel and Dillon had prior beef and neither held back their insults for the other. Danis even brought up an old picture of Helwani with OJ Simpson.

After the interview ended, the Canadian journalist did not miss the opportunity to take another dig at the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu maestro. Ariel suggested that he took multiple baths to clean himself after the interview. However, El Jefe had the perfect comeback on this particular occasion and dug up Helwani’s old photo with OJ.
Fans troll Dillon Danis for “stealing tweets”
Dillon Danis often trolls fighters and MMA personalities on Twitter. However, fans are slowly turning against the BJJ superstar. Recently, Gordon Ryan also commented on Danis’ legacy. “The King,” thinks Dillon has ruined his reputation because of his lack of activity and self-awareness. It looks like a majority of the fan base also agrees with Gordon.
After Dillon posted the picture with Ariel Helwani and OJ Simpson together, fans pointed out something very interesting. It looks like Dillon may have copied the tweet from a fan on Twitter. It led to fans ridiculing Danis on his own post. Fans had a laugh at Danis’ expense and urged him to stop taking ideas from others.

During the interview with Ariel, Danis revealed that he was originally set to fight Logan Paul. However, an injury to Logan postponed the plans and Danis decided not to stick around. He will now fight London-based YouTuber-turned-boxer, KSI on January 14th. The bout will go down in the OVO Arena in Wembley, London.
However, Danis has never fought in boxing before. He currently holds a record of 2-0 in MMA. Dillon revealed that he underwent two knee surgeries since his MMA fights and it will be interesting to see if it affects his mobility in the ring or not.
