In exciting news for boxing fans, Eddie Heard’s Matchroom Boxing has signed a two-fight deal with Canelo Alvarez. The undefeated Dmitry Bivol will put his WBA (Super) light-heavyweight title on the line against arguably one of the greatest of all time, Canelo Alvarez. Needless to say, with the confirmation, it goes without saying that we will also get to see a trilogy bout between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin.

Hearn took to Twitter to share the exciting news. The first press conference of the bout will go down in San Diego. Bivol is currently undefeated and boasts an impressive 10 fight win streak. He fought twice in the year 2021, picking up comfortable unanimous decision victories.

DAZN will promote the fight, and in interesting news, it will not be a PPV in the UK. The DAZN PPV in the US will be priced at $59.99 and $79.99 for new subscribers.
