The WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is set to clash with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in a 10-round boxing bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 28. This will be the latter’s debut inside the boxing ring, but he is known as one of the hardest punchers in MMA. Fury, on the other hand, is considered one of the greatest heavyweights of our time and is undefeated in his pro-boxing career.
However, one cannot take Ngannou, one of the strongest men in the world of combat sports, lightly, and this is why Tyson Fury’s father, John Fury, is also worried for his son’s safety. In a recent interview with Seconds Out, the elder Fury expressed that he was worried about his son, as it was likely that a fighter like Ngannou would be able to do some damage to him.
John Fury on Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou: “I do believe he’s going to bring the smoke. I’m expecting Tyson to come out with a broken leg or a broken arm. I’m glad they’re paying him well, because if they weren’t paying him well I wouldn’t put him up against Ngannou. He’s going…

“I do believe he’s going to bring the smoke. I’m expecting Tyson to come out with a broken leg or a broken arm.” said John Fury. He also said that he would not have let his son fight Ngannou if it weren’t for the money he would be making from this crossover fight.
“He’s going to get knocked about, Tyson, and he knows that. Exhibition my backside” John Fury added. It is well known that both the heavyweight titans would be making a lot of money from their boxing bout in Riyadh, and this is also why their fight is attracting a lot of criticism.
According to boxing fans and purists, Fury should have first fought heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk to give the world, the undisputed heavyweight champion.
Mike Tyson is training Francis Ngannou for his fight against Tyson Fury.
One more reason for Tyson Fury to not take Francis Ngannou lightly is that he is being trained by one of the greatest boxers of all time, Mike Tyson. Tyson and Ngannou have been training together for more than a month, and they would be hoping that this translates into a winning performance against Fury.
‘Iron Mike‘ recently addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding Ngannou’s boxing prowess on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “I am not easily impressed, but @Francis_Ngannou knows how to box. This is what dedication looks like.”

Mike has previously also defended Ngannou, and he feels that the former UFC champion has a chance to do well against Fury. Tyson argued that if Conor McGregor did well against one of the greatest boxers of all time, Floyd Mayweather, it is only natural that Ngannou, being a top-class fighter, will also be a tough opponent for Tyson Fury.
Coming from Tyson himself, this must have really boosted Ngannou’s confidence before the ultimate clash against Tyson Fury in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 28.
