Devin Haney pulled no punches before beginning an online feud with Tom Holland over the comments made by the Spiderman actor. During a podcast, Holland claimed that Haney’s win over Vasiliy Lomachenko was controversial. Holland also admitted that Lomachenko is his favorite fighter. Haney involved Holland’s alleged girlfriend Zendaya in his reply.
On the Jay Shetty Podcast, Holland began with, “Lomachenko – did you see his last fight?”
Shetty replied: “I haven’t no. I didn’t see it.”
Holland went on to give his views: “That’s an interesting one. I think the general consensus is that he won, but it was given the other way. He is my favorite boxer, but his most recent fight he lost.”
Shetty, who was unaware of the match, enquired: “How did it go against him, was it a vote?”
Holland responded, “It was a vote, yeah. It went against him, so I wonder whether they’ll fight again. But that’s the problem with boxing though, will they fight again? Because it’s a tricky business, unlike the UFC where if they wanna fight, they’ll fight, that’s what I love about it.”

However, these comments seemed to have hurt Haney on the wrong nerve. In reply, the undisputed lightweight world champion set his sights on Zendaya. Haney quote-tweeted the Holland-Shetty conversation and wrote: “I always had a thing for Zendaya.”
In the same podcast, 27-year-old Holland described his romance with Zendaya, 26, as “the thing I keep most sacred.” He said he tries to keep the relationship as private as possible. It will be interesting to see if Holland replies to the comments made by Haney or if he feels it is best not to indulge.
