Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are preparing to finally take on each other after years of trash-talking. The bout was twice booked to take place in the United States of America. While Fury had to withdraw from the competition due to injuries in December 2021, their August 2022 fight was canceled as team Fury was not allowed to enter the country.
However, it looks like the third time is the charm as they are finally set to lock horns in neutral territory. This time, the fight will take place inside the Diriyah Arena, Saudi Arabia. Heading into the fight, both fighters had some significant developments in their lives. While Tommy Fury recently became a father, Jake signed with PFL. But for now, the focus remains on the fight at hand.

Tommy’s father John Fury and half-brother Tyson Fury have been pretty vocal leading up to the fight. They are very confident about Tommy’s chances of winning. The duo even went on to claim that they would disown Tommy and leave him in Saudi Arabia if the 23-year-old loses.
So the former Love Island contestant is going to be under a lot of pressure to deliver. His pressure only increased with some of Jake’s recently re-surfaced comments. After Tommy pulled out of the contest in 2021, Jake had some pretty explosive claims and hinted at Tommy allegedly using “steroids!”
Jake Paul hints that Tommy Fury may be using steroids
Jake Paul and Tommy Fury first crossed each other’s paths in 2021. Jake was still pretty raw as a boxer, and so was Tommy. Hence a bout between them made a lot of sense at the time. Although Jake was coming off a lackluster win over Tyron Woodley, fans were more than happy to see the two celebrities inside the boxing ring. Ahead of the bout, team Fury alleged Jake was perhaps consuming PEDs.
However, Jake did not miss the chance to retaliate as soon as Fury pulled out of the bout. He made a keen observation and pointed to the physiques of John and Tyson Fury. The father-son duo has a chubbier build than usual pro-boxers. But Tommy, on the other hand, is built like a greek god. Is there any foul play behind it? The Problem Child thought so in 2021!
During an interview with The MacLife, Jake added, “Maybe they’re the ones using the steroids or whatever it is, like who knows, they’re a shady family. Do a side-by-side picture of me and Tommy, I’m like sort of, I’m like thick, but I’ve just always been naturally sort of a tubby kid, and Tommy is ripped to shreds. Why isn’t he fat like Tyson? My guess is whoever smelt it dealt it,” (h/t via essentiallysports)
Despite the claims, there is no information on whether the fighters will be drug tested or not. Previously, UFC President Dana White challenged Jake Paul to undergo drug testing. However, not much came of it. It will be interesting to see how the Jake vs Tommy match-up plays out on February 26th.
