Lennox Lewis was present in the “T-Mobile” Arena during the Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder fight that went down this Saturday.
The former three-time world heavyweight champion gave an interview right after the fight ended. Lewis first showed his excitement about the bout saying it was a great fight. He then went on to congratulate both the fighters for showing great heart and putting on a great show.
When asked about whether Fury would be able to beat Oleksandr Usyk, Lewis shared his opinion by saying it would be a great fight to watch.
Lewis explained that it’s going to be very difficult for Usyk to beat Fury because of his size and reach advantage. ” Tyson is really big, he is 6’9″. How tall is Usyk, it’s gonna be a difficult fight for him .“
he described Fury as a great fighter as well as a champion. And in his current form, he is the king of the heavyweight division.
What’s next for Tyson Fury:
Fury has successfully defended his WBC heavyweight title against Wilder. During the fight, Fury showed impeccable boxing abilities and despite dealing damage in the fourth round, he managed to knock out Wilder in the eleventh round. With a win like this, Fury is currently the King of the division but in no time he might have to get into the ring again. This time he might have to take on Oleksandr Usyk, the new unified champion.
Usyk recently beat down Anthony Joshua which was a shock for the whole boxing world and took three belts(IBF-WBO-WBA) from him. His next potential matchup was going to be the winner of the bout between Fury and Wilder. With Fury winning the fight against Wilder, Usyk will have his eyes on Fury for the WBC title. But, before that happens Usyk might need to face AJ for a rematch since the latter has already triggered a contractual clause to force a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.
What do you guys feel? If this fight happens, will Usyk be able to defeat Fury or will Tyson break the Ukrainian boxer’s unbeaten streak like he did against Deontay Wilder? Do let us know in the comment section.
