UFC legend Anderson Silva was stopped by Jake Paul in their boxing bout. ‘The Problem Child’ has earned more legitimacy and respect now as a professional boxer. Some people will still criticize Paul, but given his short period in this sport, Paul has been great so far.
During the pre-fight press conference, to hype up the bout, Paul made an interesting bet with Silva. Paul and Silva made a bet that if Paul won, they would together attempt to unionize UFC fighters. In the post-fight press conference, Silva confirmed he would honor the bet. He said:
“It’s a union for help and doing something better for MMA fighters. I think Jake and I can do something huge to help this new generation.”
Many fighters have complained about the pay issue before. With a union like this, they can hope for better healthcare and bigger payouts. Apart from Silva, former champions Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren transitioned into boxing and fought Paul.
As per the report, they received more in one boxing fight than any UFC PPV event. The heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou was also rumored to fight Tyson Fury in a boxing fight, which would guarantee a massive payday for Ngannou.

Silva will be more than happy to fight for the UFC fighters but this also means that he will be fighting against the UFC president Dana White. Paul and Silva are serious about making this union. Paul has always been a frontrunner about the fighters’ pay issue and now he seems to be one step closer to achieving this goal.
Jake Paul calls out Dana White after beating Anderson Silva
In the post-fight pressure, Jake Paul called out Dana White and reflected on something that White had said about two years ago. White challenged Paul to fight Anderson Silva and stop calling out UFC fighters who were under contract.
Now after beating Silva, Paul delivered a message to the UFC president. Paul said: “Bro, you said I wouldn’t do this, and I did it – with flying colors.”
But, you know, he’s in hiding. He’s trying to do everything he can to stop my run, to sabotage my fights. He hates me. He hates what I’m doing. He hates that I’m exposing his business,” Paul added.
Ever since Paul made his boxing debut, he crossed paths with the UFC president. Paul started to interfere with White’s business and called him out on multiple occasions. ‘The Problem Child’ just keeps on proving White wrong, as he has done everything White challenged.
However, things just get interesting as Paul keeps on beating former UFC champions. Now with this victory, Paul has Silva on his side. If they are successful at making the fighters’ union, it will certainly enrage White.
