Jake Paul managed to come back stronger after his first loss in boxing against Tommy Fury. He beat MMA veteran Nate Diaz by unanimous decision. In case you missed the action, the fight went exactly as fans thought it would. While Jake Paul looked superior in his boxing skills, Nate Diaz managed to entertain the crowd to the fullest of their ticket price.
Coming in as the favorite, Jake Paul launched a series of punches in the first round that connected well and hurt Nate Diaz. However, given the kind of fighter Nate Diaz is, he becomes more dangerous once he has been hit and hurt. The same happened in this bout, as the Stockton Slugger was dropped by Jake Paul in the fifth round of the fight by a strong left hand, and it was after this moment that Nate finally managed to punish Jake with some vicious uppercuts.

Startled by the toughness and endurance of the UFC legend, Jake Paul was surprised at how Diaz survived in the first round after eating so many punches. “He is so tough. How did he survive the first round? I was punching the f*ck out of him.”
The bout between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz was initially supposed to comprise 8 rounds, but Diaz wanted it to be 10. Jake accepted it, and that decision might have haunted him inside the ring as Nate Diaz became more dominant toward the end of the fight.
Jake Paul reveals Nate Diaz really tried to choke him out in round 10
The ‘Classic Nate Diaz’ moments started to show up in the later rounds as the fighter got in his element and began trash-talking inside the ring. He is known to do that inside the Octagon as well, especially when his opponent gets tired. He then mocked Paul for not being able to knock him down.
The moment of the fight was definitely when Nate Diaz attempted a guillotine choke on Paul in the last round. Only Nate could have done that, and he did. However, in the post-fight conference, Jake Paul revealed that it was a strong choke and he thought Nate was not going to stop.
“He f****ng choked me; he was actually choking me. No, he actually was. I was like, ‘This was crazy’. I didn’t think he was going to stop, but he had it in; obviously, I wasn’t going to try and defend it.” said Paul.
Jake Paul further showcased his interest in fighting Nate Diaz inside the octagon. “It’s just funny; that’s why I want to do the rematch back in MMA. It’s fun, man; I’m with all the s***. If it was in MMA, I would have dropped to double leg, then picked him up and dropped him on his head.”
Nate has also shown interest in the $10 Million offer that Jake has come up with for an MMA fight between them inside the PFL cage. Speaking about his defeat, the UFC veteran praised Jake’s strengths and accepted the fact that he should have trained better for this fight.
