Jake Paul will go against old foe Tyron Woodley for the second time as his original opponent, Tommy Fury had to pull out from the fight after suffering a bacterial chest Infection and a broken rib. The fight between Paul and Woodley will go down on December 18 in Tampa, Florida inside the Amalie Arena.
Woodley(0-1) is a former UFC Welterweight Champion and has defended his title 4 times. He made his boxing debut on August 29 against Jake Paul and unfortunately lost the bout via a split decision. He stepped in to fill in the spot as Tommy Fury dropped out of the fight with Jake Paul. It’s a great opportunity for the UFC legend to recapture his lost respect and avenge his last loss against Paul.
Paul (4-0) on the other hand was formerly known for making YouTube vines, sketches, and music videos. He made his boxing debut against AnEsonGib last year and then went on to defeat Nate Robinson, Ben Askren, and Woodley. The Clevelander will be looking to defeat Woodley for the second time and maintain his undefeated record.
The last time both the fighters faced each other was in August and Paul faced the closest fight of his professional career as the fight went on for a full eight rounds. Woodley seemed to struggle in the initial period and failed to land any shots on Paul and this became the major reason for his loss via split decision.
Other than the main event, the card also consists of a fight between former NFL athlete Frank Gore and former NBA guard Deron Williams. The WBC, WBO, and IBO women’s Featherweight champion Amanda Serrano will also defend her titles against challenger Miriam Gutierrez.
