Hollywood superstar Jonathan Majors finds himself in hot waters. Majors, who has been on a streak of starring in major Hollywood blockbusters such as “Creed 3” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” has recently been arrested. Majors had kept a squeaky-clean image in public and in front of his fans. Hence, many are left in shock after discovering the reasons behind his recent legal trouble.
News outlet TMZ reported the incident first and revealed that Majors allegedly assaulted a female in New York City. If the reports of assaults were not bad enough, the subsequent discovery was even more harrowing. Apparently, the woman Jonathan allegedly assaulted, was his girlfriend. Although details about the woman have been kept under wraps, the description of the assault is public.
Jonathan and the woman were allegedly in a cab when the reported assault took place. As per TMZ, Majors’ girlfriend confronted the actor about receiving messages from another unidentified woman. The alleged victim apparently wanted to have a look at Jonathan’s phone and upon the actor’s disapproval, confronted him. It led to Majors allegedly slapping the woman and holding her by the neck.
The woman reportedly suffered a laceration and some bruises after the alleged assault. Although his team has pleaded innocence, there are some question marks about his future in Hollywood and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to be precise.
Is Jonathan Majors’ Marvel future in doubt?
Jonathan Majors is one of the most valuable assets in Hollywood at the moment. After his recent appearance in “Creed 3,” he became a part of the iconic Rocky franchise. However, that is not the most high-profile franchise in his arsenal at present. He also plays the role of “Kang” in MCU. His first appearance came in the Disney+ series “Loki.” The show was well reviewed, but Jonathan Majors’ “Kang” was the most note-worthy part of it.
But his first cinematic appearance was in Ant-Man 3, which is still playing in theaters across the world. However, Jonathan Majors’ role does not end there, as Marvel has planned its entire phase 5 of movies around him as the villain. It will all lead to “Avengers: Kang Dynasty,” set to release in 2025. However, with the recent development, will Marvel keep Jonathan around? It has sparked a big debate amongst fans online.

The matter is still under investigation, hence there is no verdict on his future from Marvel. Majors is currently dealing with charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment. Marvel’s parent studio Disney likes to maintain a family-friendly image. Hence, fans can expect Majors to be axed from the franchise if he is convicted. But it is just speculation up until an official update from the authorities.
