Tommy Fury and YouTuber turned boxer KSI are the biggest names in the world of influencer boxing and the duo faced each other on October 14 in Manchester, UK. KSI, with a professional record of 4 wins and 1 no-contest before the fight, made his return to the ring after his last bout against Joe Fournier in May.
On the other hand, Tommy Fury, boasting an unblemished record of nine wins, had his most recent fight back in February, securing a split decision win against Jake Paul. The 24-year-old British fighter aimed to maintain his undefeated status by competing in front of his hometown crowd in Manchester.
KSI landed a solid punch in the opening moments of the match but spent the remainder of the contest primarily clinching with his opponent. In the meantime, Tommy Fury didn’t exhibit a significantly better performance but managed to land enough punches to secure the victory. The fight was indeed a very close one and could have gone in favor of either of them.

The last few moments showcased some urgency from the undefeated pro-boxer Fury, who launched an attack at his opponent and connected a few good strikes. However, many still thought that this might as well be the first loss of his career.
Nevertheless, this was not the case, as the official scorecards revealed that Tommy Fury won by a majority decision against KSI (57-57, 57-56, 57-56). The YouTuber turned-boxer was not happy with the decision, as he called it a robbery and asked for a rematch. He also expressed that the main reason for his loss was that he was a YouTuber, and his win over Tommy, a pro boxer, would have been a disgrace to the boxing fraternity.
KSI vs. Tommy Fury punching stats revealed
Many fans found it hard to believe that Tommy Fury could secure a decision victory over KSI, especially since he had a point deducted in the second round for delivering blows to the back of the head. Also, throughout the match, the fighters received repeated warnings for excessive clinching.
Despite these cautions, both competitors consistently resorted to clinching whenever they found themselves at a distance from each other. This constant clinching stifled any potential offensive efforts from either fighter, resulting in very few instances where either of them could truly assert dominance in any round.

However, the judges believed Fury to be the true winner, as they declared him the champion by unanimous decision. While KSI was furious after the first loss of his career, the punching stats also reveal that Fury out-landed the influencer by just one punch over the six rounds.
Overall, it was a pretty dull fight, in as many as six rounds of boxing, Fury landed just 12 jabs and 39 punches and KSI managed to land 38 punches. It was mostly clinching that took place between the duo in the main event of the night.
