Mike Tyson Confirms He Will Not Return to Boxing, Says He has Been Offered $100 Million to Fight

Mike Tyson believes that he won’t return to fight anymore. Tyson, one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of time recently revealed his views regarding his future in boxing.

While talking to Dana White, Kyle Forgeard, and Bob Menery in their podcast, Mike talked about his rumored fight against Jake Paul. When asked about who he was going to face among the Paul brothers and why it didn’t happen, Tyson revealed:

“I think it’s Jake the youngest one. It’s like 12 or 13 months boom something is missing. Boom, I am losing muscle mass, it’s always something new. Guys wanna fight me for 100 million and stuff but I don’t know if I will ever like that anymore. I wanted to do it for the first time just for fun and then some people took it to another level, made it financial and the fun went out of it.”

According to Mike, Paul’s team made the fight a lot about money and not fun. As he wanted to fight for the sake of enjoying it ultimately forced him out of the fight.

Soon after Dana said that he doesn’t like Tyson fighting anymore. To which Mike replied saying “I don’t think I will either, but you never know again“.

Though Mike is certain that he won’t be fighting for loads of money anymore. But, he seems open to possibilities and opportunities.

Why did Mike Tyson change his mind about fighting?

Tyson last fought in the year 2020 against Roy Jones Jr. Fury looked great even though he was coming out of retirement. However, recent rumors of him fighting again surfaced in the fighting world. Reports came out of him fighting against Paul in Las Vegas this year. This got many of the fight fans excited. However, Fury later denied the reports.

What’s odd is Mike was all interested in fighting this year as he said last November. “I’m going to have a comeback fight in February and we’re pretty skeptical about the opponent, but it’s going to be a really exciting opponent”

But, it seems like as he said “something is missing” for him. Nevertheless, since Tyson himself believes in the proverb “never say never” fight fans should hope to see him return to the ring.
