SUMMARY
- In October 2023, Tyson Fury fought against Francis Ngannou.
- In December 2023, Fury was supposed to fight against Oleksandr Usyk, but it got canceled.
One of the most well-known names in professional boxing is Tyson Fury. In addition, his Netflix documentary “At Home With The Furys” has solidified his reputation in the mainstream media. The Gipsy King’s last bout was a highly anticipated crossover match with Francis Ngannou, a well-known mixed martial artist.
On October 28, 2023, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion, collided. Moreover, Francis’ historic fight marked his boxing debut. People thought Fury would have an easy go of it, but it was a tough one.
On May 18, 2024, Fury makes his way back to Saudi Arabia to take on Oleksandr Usyk in an attempt to become the unchallenged Heavyweight World Champion. The much-awaited fight has already been postponed several times.
First confirmed in September, the original date was set for December 23. After Fury suffered a serious cut above his right eye during training that required eleven stitches, the fight was postponed until February 17 and then rescheduled once more.
For years, fans have been demanding that Fury and Usyk square up. In the coming months, the two men who now possess all of the heavyweight titles will square off in a unification contest following some tough negotiations and a near-disaster against Ngannou.
Where will Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk take place?
Oleksandr Usyk is a more conventional heavyweight, but fans have grown accustomed to enormous heavyweights like Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, and the Klitschko brothers. This indicates that he is short for the time and that, on fight night, he will forfeit a half-foot of height and reach.

At the top level of the sport, the matchup will be a classic David vs. Goliath scenario. It will be intriguing to watch how the Ukrainian attempts to use his approach against a rare, large man with elite skill. In the heavyweight division’s history, this fight is significant.
This bout features the two best fighters in the division. Tyson Fury has overcome Deontay Wilder twice, and Oleksandr Usyk has triumphed over Anthony Joshua twice. In addition to being the undisputed champion, the victor of this fight will be allowed to call himself the best heavyweight of his generation.
Fight Purse for Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk
Oleksandr Usyk is stronger physically, but Tyson Fury is a faster and more skilled boxer. Usyk’s speed could be crucial to the battle and act as a counterbalance to the powerful blows that “The Gipsy King” may deliver because he was a cruiserweight champion.

A stunning revelation from Boxing Kingdom claims that Fury will get a record-breaking $69 million for his highly anticipated fight with Usyk. According to reports, Usyk is leaving the generational battle with little more than $34 million, or just less than half of Fury’s wealth. If they both withdraw from the fight by May 18, they will each forfeit $10 million.
If Tyson Fury withdraws, Usyk will take on an opponent of his choosing. However, Turki Alalshikh wants Tyson Fury to face Anthony Joshua if Usyk withdraws from the bout. Additionally, there is a rematch clause in this bout, meaning Anthony Joshua will have to wait for his opportunity to face the victor of the first fight.
After the battle, Fury or Usyk will become the undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the world, capturing the championships of the WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO. This hasn’t happened since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999.
