Subsequently, the two boxers fought for 8 rounds in what was an epic showdown in front of a packed Rocket Mortgage Field house arena in Cleveland. After the end of a closely contested battle, Jake Paul emerged victorious via split decision against the Chosen One.

However, many fans and analysts were not happy with the result of the fight as they thought that Woodley should have won the fight. Besides, there was a majority of people who claimed that the fight between Jake and T-Wood was rigged. There are several reasons why people on the internet formed this opinion after watching this clash.

Even though Woodley pushed forward aggressively, he did not land a large volume of shots. Moreover, the former UFC welterweight champion hardly threw any punches in the first three rounds of the fight which was an important factor in his loss. Therefore various fans were unhappy about Woodley’s unusual approach against Jake Paul. 

Further, there was another incident during the fight that caused everyone to insinuate that this fight was fixed. In the fourth round of the contest, T-Wood stunned Jake Paul with a right hook and almost scored a knockdown. However, the Chosen one did not follow up and push aggressively to finish the fight while Jake was hurt.

In addition to that, Tyron’s passive approach in the latter stages of the fight when Jake was extremely tired influenced many fans to have their suspicion about the fight.

In the end, it is arguable that Tyron Woodley did not fight to the best of his capabilities. However, one should keep in mind that Woodley’s passive approach was also to ensure that he does not land in any trouble. Because Jake does have the ability to capitalize on his opponent’s mistake by hurting his opponents. Therefore it is highly unlikely that this fight between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley was rigged.
