Earlier, WBO and the Lineal Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury praised Dubois and compared him to Ivan Drago from Rocky IV. Fury had told BT Sport: “Daniel Dubois. He’s a big, strong lad, and whatever he hits falls.” Fury continued, “He’s big like Ivan Drago, isn’t he? – ‘I will hit you and break you, no matter what happens’.”

Tyson Fury is gearing for his trilogy bout against Deontay Wilder, whose boxing style is quite similar to Daniel Dubois. Both are lethal strikers who can sleep any opponent inside the octagon. Dubois expressed his happiness over the comments from Tyson Fury and hailed him as the top heavyweight boxer right now.

Dubois said to The Mirror: “I don’t know who Ivan Drago is. But it’s nice when someone like Tyson Fury praises you.” Dubois continued, “He’s at the top of the tree, the No1 in the division, so that’s good. He’s someone I like as a fighter.”
