The crowd present inside the arena was in awe after seeing Katie and Amanda go hammer and tongs at each other. However, in the end, it was The Bray Bomber who had done enough to secure a win via split decision and retain her undisputed crown.
One of the judges scored the contest 96-94 for Amanda Serrano. Meanwhile, the other two judges scored the bout 96-93 and 97-94 in favour of Katie Taylor respectively. In what was an epic fistfight, Serrano badly hurt Taylor with one of her shots in the fifth round.
Thereafter there was no stopping Amanda as she went on a punching spree. However, Katie Taylor somehow managed to survive Amanda’s onslaught and recovered in the latter stages of the bout.

“It was a draw at best. We thought we won, we thought Amanda won. Amanda performed amazing. It was a fight of a lifetime. You know that was incredible. Both women fought their hearts out as well. It was a historic moment.”

“The crowd’s booing but everyone’s a winner here tonight. I’d be mad if I was them too you know. But hey kudos to Katie Taylor for what she’s done for women’s boxing. Kudos to Amanda Serrano. You gotta give credit where credit is due. And let’s run it back like Eddie said September, October, this fight, this second fight got a whole lot bigger,” said The Problem Child.
With both Jake Paul and Eddie Hearn verbally agreeing for a rematch, the only thing left is for both the female lightweights to sign the dotted line.
