Hate him or love him, Jake Paul is certainly one of the biggest names in the world of boxing at the moment. He might not be a world champion and he might not be an elite boxer but he is bringing a lot of attention to the sport of boxing.
The YouTuber turned pro boxer takes on the biggest challenge of his pro boxing career on August 29th in Tyron Woodley. Though Jake Paul has been unbeaten so far he is yet to prove how good of a boxer he is.
Not just inside the boxing ring, but it seems Jake Paul is bringing a much-needed change outside the ring as well. His constant protest against the fighters’ pay issue in UFC has atleast have the fans talking about whether UFC is treating its fighters the right way.
It’s needless to say that The Problem Child considers himself a trailblazer of this generation and in some way he is setting up examples for the upcoming fighters.
Jake Paul talks about his ring gear for the Tyron Woodley fight
Jake Paul is looking to do a similar thing with his fight against Tyron Woodley on August 29th. Paul recently claimed that his walkout gear will have a huge impact in the world of boxing in the years to come. In a recent podcast with The Last Stand, Jake Paul stated:
“I put on a show, I do things different, I have a mascot(The Problem Bot). The fight night shorts that I’m wearing August 29, you’ll never have seen anything like it. I think it will be something that people and boxers will copy for years to come. So I’m just coming in with a different flavour, a different sauce. I speak my mind, I don’t care if people like me or not, and I’m good at this sport.”
It’s needless to say that Jake does bring a lot of attention every time he fights in the ring. The majority of the MMA community will be rooting against Jake Paul when he takes on Tyron Woodley. However, Jake Paul seems unphased with the hatred he has received from the fans.
Though he is one of the most polarizing fighters in boxing right now it will be hard to undermine the impact he has had on boxing so far.
