Jake Paul took on Nate Diaz in one of the biggest fights of the year this past weekend. However, despite his victory, fans and pundits were not too impressed with The Problem Child. Similarly, they have now started taking aim at Jake’s girlfriend, Jutta Leerdam.
Previously, Jake revealed that he was dating Dutch speed skater Jutta Leerdam. Having broken up with Julia Rose, his ardent supporter, earlier this year, it was onto the next for Jake. At the time, many were supportive of Jake and the two would often post each other on social media. Notably, Jake would publicly heap praise on his new girlfriend, referring to her as the ‘fastest speed skater alive.’
For the most part, Jutta is a highly accomplished speed skater with numerous awards and accolades over the years. Born on December 30, 1998, in the Netherlands, she is a skating prodigy. Not only does she hold multiple speed skating records, but she is also an Olympic silver medallist. Adding to that, her stunning looks and confident personality make it understandable as to why Jake is so fascinated by her.
Over time, the couple has begun appearing together in public and on Jake’s podcast, BS w/ Jake Paul. According to Jake, his speed skater girlfriend is very understanding and has inspired him to be a better version of himself. Despite what the couple thinks, there is always the opinion of the public looming over their head.
Fans are not happy with Jutta Leerdam and Jake Paul
Ever since, his initial post about dating Jutta, there has been a section of fans who have been thoroughly displeased by their union. Captioning his post, “I’m Dutch now,” there were a lot of Dutch people in his comments that negatively reacted to the situation. According to many fans, they were not too keen on Jake trying to be Dutch.
Moreover, things hit a new boiling point after Jake’s unanimous decision win against Nate Diaz. Although Jake won the fight and scored a knockdown as well, Diaz’s antics meant that he was able to get a ‘moral victory’ for himself as well. After the fight, Jutta took to Instagram to heap praise on her partner. However, Jutta’s comments received a lot of backlash from fans. Hailing the Ohio-based boxer as a ‘champion,’ many have slammed Jutta for her statements.

As such, one fan wrote, “You’re gonna be so embarrassed by this phase in your life someday”. Similarly, another added, “This is a god damned modern tragedy”. Another fan openly call out Jutta writing, “Just say you are in it for the social status we would respect it more”. Others also added by saying, “You are worth so much more. It’s a shame you don’t realize that” and “Like I said she landed on a YouTuber who called out retired or wash out fighters”.
Understandably, many are not convinced by Jake’s pedigree as a boxer. To date, Jake has only bested retired and old MMA athletes whilst coming up short against an actual boxer like Tommy Fury. Moreover, Jutta praising Jake for such shallow victories has further frustrated fans a lot. With such comments from fans, it will be interesting to see what direction Jake and Jutta’s relationship goes in next.
