Earlier this week, Nate Diaz was officially released from his UFC contract, making him free to compete outside of the promotion. Needless to say, this has sparked rumors of a possible move to boxing and fans couldn’t have been more excited.
There were reports that we could see Nate Diaz take on Jake Paul in a boxing bout after the Problem Child called out the Stockton Slugger following his win over Anderson Silva. However, it looks like that won’t be the case. In a fresh rant on social media, Paul called out Diaz for ducking him and further claimed that he could be fighting a novice YouTuber in his boxing debut.
Tommy Fury ducking. Tyson Fury now trying to get me to fight his dad instead?
Nate Diaz ducking. I heard he’s boxing a a novice YouTuber?
Paddy ducking a spar. Knows I can’t go to UFC HQ. Offered him Jan 5 but happy to fly him out any day he wants that works for us both?

Diaz is widely regarded as one of the finest strikers in the world of combat sports, and a step inside the boxing ring seems like a great decision on the former UFC title challenger’s part. While fans would have hoped for a more notable name, if Jake Paul is to be believed, the challenger will be a “novice YouTuber.”
There’s no clarity in Paul’s statement and as far as Paul’s work on the microphone, this novice YouTuber could be absolutely anyone. Even KSI, who knows!
Will Nate Diaz make his boxing debut?
For a really long time, fans have wanted Diaz inside the boxing ring. However, it won’t be wrong to say that following Jake Paul‘s success inside the ring, the expectations have only grown.
While a possible match-up against Jake Paul is enticing, it won’t be shocking if Nate Diaz never makes his boxing debut. Be that as it may, Nate Diaz’s manager has confirmed “you will see Nate competing multiple times in 2023, and that will include boxing.”
Hi Nate. Finally out of your UFC contract?
Let’s see how tough you are in the boxing ring instead of hallway slap contests.@NateDiaz209
I have a venue booked. Offer is ready when you are. Just need you to sign.

Nate Diaz is a huge name in the world of combat sports, and a return to boxing against any opponent is likely to do great business-wise, however, one wonders if Diaz will indeed make his boxing debut. Nate Diaz is quite settled and has done enough to enjoy a great retirement life.
