A misogynist is one of the terms that is often used to describe Andrew Tate. Since his clips went viral on social media platforms in 2022, opinions on Tate have divided the fan base. While some find his words encouraging for young men, others are not so appreciative of the way he addressed women. Hence, the moniker of being a misogynist stuck with him.
However, what does misogyny mean exactly? Merriam-Webster’s dictionary defines misogyny as “hatred of, aversion to, or prejudice against women.” But, as it turns out, not many people who label Andrew Tate as a misogynist, know the meaning of the word. It was evident when a YouTuber asked a young woman, why she dislikes Andrew Tate.
As expected, she revealed, “He, he is really misogynistic and like, his views they’re so like, they’re so extreme.” But, once the interviewer asked her to define what she meant, the woman seemed out of an answer.
She stuttered for a few moments and then started smiling. She added, “damn! Yeah, you got me.” It does prove that there are some people who are just going with the trend instead of doing their research.
While there are certainly clips that make Top G look bad, he has addressed those videos previously. However, he is under prosecution for alleged human trafficking, organized crime, and r*pe. After his arrest on December 29, 2022, Tate appealed against the 30-day court detention order. However, the court dismissed his bail plea.
Ex-girlfriend defends Andrew Tate amid allegations
Andrew Tate certainly has a very long list of distractors. He even got into a Twitter feud with the 19-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg. Although Tate tried to take shots at Greta a few times, Thunberg’s replies won over the internet. Even UFC commentator Joe Rogan enjoyed Greta’s roast of the former kickboxing champion.
But, Tate certainly has some friends left who are defending him. The very first one to publicly voice his support for Andrew was Tam Khan. Tam gave the 36-year-old a glorious character certificate and praised his social work. He also hinted that Tate’s online persona may be a character to entertain the fans. Even Tate’s ex-girlfriend defended him.
She claimed to be in a long-term relationship with Tate previously and addressed the ongoing controversy. There was a video that went viral of Tate allegedly hitting a female. However, the woman claimed that it was consensual and it was part of rough foreplay. She also dismissed all the charges against Tate.
She added, “He’s not a human trafficker. He would never r*pe any anybody, and he would certainly never ever human traffick anybody, either. Including his brother, they would never do such a thing. I’m just so shocked, I’m so fed up with all of these lies. Talking about Andrew Tate that he’s a woman beater, that he’s a human trafficer, he has r*ped somebody. It is so false.”
