Charles Oliveira is still enjoying his impressive knockout victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 262, but the win does not seem to impress odd makers as they have put in the underdog’s seat in his potential fights between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor.
Oliveira resumes his training at Chute Boxe Diego Lima, as he sets his sights on what comes next after UFC 263 where McGregor and Poirier will fight each other for the third time, to put an end to their rivalry.

Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor react to Charles Oliveira’s title win at UFC 262

Charles Oliveira says a new era has begun in the UFC
In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, when asked what his take was when the odd makers put him in the underdog position despite having a clean knockout victory against Michael Chandler and securing the title, the Brazilian answered that not affect him, makes him only stronger.
“No, that makes me happy. I like being the underdog. I go there and prove it. Brother, I’ve made history ever since I got in UFC. Every time people said I couldn’t do something, I went there and proved them wrong,… I’ll tell you this, being the underdog or “the man of the hour” makes no difference to me. What matters is what you can do in there. Every time you get in, there 50-50 chance, and whoever has the best strategy and is better prepared will win the match.”
Regardless of who wins between McGregor and Poirier, Charles will always be placed in the underdog category. That’s what these odd makers have in mind for right now. Charles has proved many previous speculations wrong and is willing to get this one into dust too.
