Claressa Shields is one of the best female boxers of all time. She first came on to the pro boxing scene in November 2016. In her first pro fight, Shields defeated Franchon Crews Dezurn via unanimous decision. She then followed it up with another win, this time via TKO, against Szilvia Szabados in March 2017. In her fourth fight, Shields faced Nikki Adler for the WBC super middleweight and IBF super middleweight titles.
In her sixth professional fight, Shields fought Hanna Gabriels for the vacant WBA middleweight title and the IBF middleweight championship. After winning against Gabriels, Claressa Shields went on to win the WBC middleweight title, WBO and The Ring middleweight titles, WBC and WBO light middleweight titles, and more. She is the undisputed light middleweight champion of the world.
However, not only does Shields have an amazing pro boxing record, but she also had a decorated amateur career as well. Shields won the gold medal in the Pan American Games in 2015, and World Championships in 2014 and 2016. But perhaps the biggest achievement that an amateur boxer can have, is to win an Olympic Gold Medal.
Claressa Shields won two Olympic Gold Medals representing the USA; once in 2012 and then again in 2016. So much money has the female boxer earned throughout her career? Let’s find out.
