Conor Mcgregor Cancels His Trilogy Fight With Dustin Poirier After a Huge Allegation

Dustin Poirier x Conor McGregor

The rivalry between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier might have gotten too far. Earlier, Dustin Poirier revealed that Conor McGregor has not given the promised $500k donation to The Good Fight Foundation. Poirier even said that Conor’s team avoided further communication regarding the donation following UFC 257.

However, Conor McGregor has a different story. He claims that his team never received the plans to spend the $500k donation from The Good Fight Foundation. McGregor stated:

“My Team does their due diligence to make sure every donation meets the mark. My generosity is known. You will pay with your brain for this attempt at smearing my name. Shooting ass shelling ass bitch. Little bitch kicks from a shell. Good luck when you’re caught. You’re fucked.”

Conor McGregor promised to donate $500k before his rematch with Dustin Poirier before UFC 257. The truth behind why he has not donated the money yet is still unknown. But the fans finally started to see the glimpse of old McGregor during this banter. The fans started expecting bad blood going into the trilogy fight in July.

However, there is a possibility that this trilogy fight will not happen in July. In a recent tweet, Conor McGregor said that he is not going to fight Dustin Poirier in the trilogy and will fight someone else instead. Conor tweeted:

“You’re ripped you, inbred hillbilly. Why do you wink with your ears? You fucking brain dead hillbilly. 500k with no plan in place. Ye hang tight fool. You must be new to money. The fight is off btw. I’m going to fight someone else on the 10th. Good luck on your old contract.”

Is Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor really canceled?

Well, Dustin Poirier seemed unphased with Conor’s response and he replied back with the below tweet.

As of now, there has been no official announcement regarding the trilogy between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. It’s very likely that they will end up fighting on July 10th as scheduled. However, this banter will certainly hype up the trilogy a lot.

The rematch did not go in the favor of Conor McGregor as he got knocked out in the second round. The fans are indeed excited to see Conor try to avenge his loss in the trilogy. But, it’s safe to say that the fans would love bad blood between Conor and Dustin instead of a friendly atmosphere as was the case before the rematch. And this fresh banter between the two lightweight elites will certainly be a building block for a grudge match on July 10th.
