Nate Diaz takes to Twitter in a call-out to the UFC to book the fight against Dustin Poirier. Diaz has been rallying for the fight since Poirier’s TKO win over Conor McGregor back at UFC 247. A lot of hue and cry and we are still not even sure whether Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier will square off against each other inside the Octagon anytime soon.

Scheduled to fight each other back in 2019, Diaz and Poirier have maintained their rivalry, taking shots at each other throughout the years. However, in the recent times, it has plummeted to a level where both the fighters are showing their interest in fighting each other, and have made it quite clear on their respective social media platform.

Earlier, Dustin Poirier had stated that he has agreed to fight Nate Diaz in the welterweight division and is waiting for Diaz’s response. In response, Diaz hit back at the former interim lightweight champion. He claimed that the UFC is not intereste. He further went on to ridicule Poirier, with once again both the fighters taking shots at each other without any official confirmation of the bout in the picture.

There were rumors that Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier could face each other at UFC 272. However, MMA journalist Ariel Helwani confirmed that the Stockton Slugger won’t be fighting at UFC 274. Now, it looks like things are taking a more serious turn with Dustin Poirier reminding Nate Diaz of his iconic line from the post-fight interview following Diaz’s fight against Michael Johnson where he called out the Notorious Conor McGregor.

It looks like we could finally see Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier share the UFC Octagon with both the fighters rallying on social media, and the fans behind them. Needless to say, it is an exciting match-up with a lot of bad blood behind them. It’s been a while since we have seen Nate Diaz trash-talking to his opponents in the lead-up to the fight, but it’s safe to say, that won’t be the case with Dustin Poirier.
Dana White: So, obviously Nate Diaz will get a fight.
I say this all the time, I’ve been saying this for 20 years. We’re contracted to fight guys 3 times a year, they gotta get fights. He’ll get a fight.

In a recent conversation with UFC president Dana White with ESPN journalist Brett Okamoto. White reaveled how UFC is completely stacked till May. He went on to say how the fight might not take place before this Summer, and pointed at the unavailability of dates as the real reason why the fight hasn’t been booked
