Cory Sandhagen will go up against Song Yadong in the main event fight on UFC Vegas 60 inside UFC Apex, in Las Vegas. The much-awaited Bantamweight fight has a lot of hype around as the winner will have a shot at becoming the next title contender in the division.
For Sandhagen, it’s a great opportunity to redeem himself after his last loss against Petr Yan earlier this year. A win will get his career back on track after two back-to-back losses against Yan and TJ Dillashaw.
Sandhagen(14-4) has been a part of the UFC for quite a long now and has given some great performances during this time. Other than his performances, ‘The Sandman’ is known for choosing some great music for his walkouts. Here are some of Cory Sandhagen’s walkout songs.
Cory Sandhagen ‘s UFC walkouts
Come And Get Your Love
Sandhagen made his UFC debut back in 2018 against Austin Arnett at UFC on Fox: Jacaré vs. Brunson 2. He used the song ” Come And Get Your Love ” by Redbone. Sandhagen managed to register his first win in the fight by defeating Arnett via second-round TKO.
Victory Lap
After three consecutive victories since the debut, Sandhagen went against John Linekar at UFC Fight Night: Jacaré vs. Hermansson. The American walked out to the octagon with the song “Victory Lap” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. The song was a great choice as the fighter went on a victory lap after the fight by winning it via split decision.
At UFC 250, Sandhagen went against Aljamain Sterling and used the same song as his walkout song. Unfortunately, the fighter failed to stop Sterling and suffered his first loss in UFC.
Gimme The Loot
The Notorious B.I.G has given some of the greatest hits during the 90s and is one of the biggest faces of hip hop for fans during that time. It seems like Sandhagen is also one of those fans as used the song ” Gimme The Loot ” by The Notorious B.I.G at his first main event in UFC. The fight was against Marlon Moraes at UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs. Sandhagen. Sandhagen gave one of the best performances of his career during the fight and defeated Moraes. The performance also earned him his first Performance of the Night award bonus.
Earlier this year, Sandhagen went against T.J. Dillashaw at UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs. Dillashaw. During his walkout, he used the song “Gimme The Loot” and made a glorious entrance to the octagon. But the results didn’t go his way as he lost the fight via split decision in a controversial way.
Corey Sandhagen took on Petr Yan in the co-main event of UFC 267 and the fight had the interim UFC 135lbs title on the line. For that also, Sandhagen used the song “Gimme The Loot” by The Notorious B.I.G. Cory had an excellent performance against the former UFC bantamweight champ. But Yan’s slick striking ultimately ensured he got the win.
