UFC President Dana White no-showed UFC 270 post-fight press conference in what is first as far as any fight fan can remember. Dana White was not present at the post-fight press conference of UFC’s first PPV of the year 2022. Soon after the news broke on the internet, fight fans started to speculate about Francis Ngannou’s future with the UFC following his impressive five-round dominant win against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270.
INCREDIBLE.

In the lead-up to UFC 270, Ngannou’s contract dispute with the UFC became a central topic, with various other fighters voicing out their opinion on the entire issue. Fighting Ciryl Gane in the last fight on his UFC contract, it won’t be wrong to say that many, maybe, including the UFC President Dana White expected Francis Ngannou to lose. However, what transpired was an incredible display of mixed martial arts from Ngannou, who used his striking and his grappling to pick up a unanimous decision win over the former team-mate from France.
The rift between Dana White and Francis Ngannou continues to show
Francis Ngannou has indicated a higher fighter pay and a contractual obligation for the UFC to promote his boxing bout. There has been no indication on Ngannou’s part that he wants to fight for a different organization. He would like to continue his heavyweight run as the undisputed king, however, would like the opportunity to box within his UFC contract.
Needless to say, that’s a tough one to negotiate for the UFC, considering the UFC President Dana White has always stayed away from partnering with other promotions. That is if we ignore the Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather which was co-promoted by the UFC and Showtime.
Francis Ngannou is a huge name in the world of mixed martial arts, and his recent win over a very technical and savvy striker in the form of Ciryl Gane is going to plummet his popularity even further. The heavyweight king of boxing, Tyson Fury has also expressed his interest in a boxing bout under special rules. Needless to say, the options are open for Francis Ngannou. However, the mixed martial arts career stands in the middle.
The next couple of months are going to be exciting, considering we will get to see a lot of back and forth on Twitter. Ngannou’s contract situation after UFC 270 remains a mystery.
