Derrick Lewis is one of the most devastating knockout artists in UFC history. With 20 knockouts in his MMA career, Lewis has established himself as one of the must-see fighters in MMA today.

The Black Beats made his UFC debut in 2014 against Jack May. The fans were not disappointed with his first fight in UFC as Lewis secured a TKO victory over Jack May in the first round.

Since then Derrick Lewis has beaten some of the most notable names in UFC heavyweight history including Roy Nelson, Travis Browne, Francis Ngannou, Alexander Volkov, Alexy Oleynik, and Curtis Blaydes.

Derrick Lewis even fought for the prestigious UFC heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 230 against Daniel Cormier. Unfortunately, Lewis was unsuccessful in his attempt to capture the UFC gold at Madison Square Garden.

Nevertheless, Lewis has found his way to the top of the rankings once again as he takes on Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC 265. Lewis has the opportunity to win the interim UFC heavyweight title.

UFC Fight Purses of Derrick Lewis

For his UFC debut against Jack May, Derrick Lewis earned a fight purse of $26,000($8,000 to show, $8,000 to win, $10,000 for sponsorship).

After an impressive UFC debut, Derrick Lewis would get on an impressive run and beat some tough opponents in incredible fashion. Fans started to love him for his exciting fighting style.

Derrick Lewis earned his first performance bonus for his knock-out win over Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC Fight Night 86. Derrick Lewis earned a fight purse of $113,000 for this win including a $50,000 performance bonus.

For his impressive decision win over Roy Nelson, The Black beast earned a fight purse of $71,000.

Lewis would secure another knock-out win over Travis Browne in the main event of UFC Fight Night 105 and earn a fight purse of $142,000(including a $50,000 performance bonus).

Despite a loss to Mark Hunt at UFC Fight Night 110, Derrick Lewis earned a handsome purse of $185,000 (Including a $50,000 fight of the night bonus).

Lewis secured a brutal knock-out win over Marcin Tybura at UFC Fight Night 126 and earn one of the biggest fight purses of his career. Lewis earned $310,000 (including a $50,000 performance bonus).

The Black Beast fought the current heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou at UFC 226 and earn a fight purse of $270,000 for his decision win.

Lewis knocked out Alexander Volkov at UFC 229 to earn a fight purse of $330,000 including a $50,000 performance bonus.

In one of the biggest fights of his career so far, Lewis fought Daniel Cormier in the main event of UFC 230. Though Lewis lost the fight via submission he earned a fight purse of $530,000.

For his last three fights against Ilir Latifi, Alexey Oleinik, and Curtis Bladyes, Lewis secured a fight purse of $305,000, $315,000, $370,000 respectively. Lewis even earned a $50,000 performance bonus for his brutal knockout against Curtis Blaydes.

Derrick Lewis pocketed a whopping $700,000 for his interim title fight against Ciryl Gane at UFC 265, making it the highest fight purse of his career in a long time. Needless to say, this amount did not include the PPV bonus.

As per reports, the total earning of Derrick Lewis from his UFC career is close to $4,471,000.
