UFC welterweight contender Neil Magny bounced back from his loss against Michael Chiesa at UFC Vegas 26. Magny beat a very tough opponent in the welterweight division, Geoff Neal. Though it’s time for celebration for Magny he already has a huge challenge ahead of him.
The rising star of the division, Khamzat Chimaev has issued a callout to Neil Magny following his win over Geoff Neal. Chimaev tweeted:
“Neil Magny you’re fighting me next. Don’t run like chicken. We will see who slaps who in the cage.”
Khamzat Chimaev and Neil Magny have been trash-talking each other for a meaningful time now. Khamzat Chimaev is yet to fight a ranked opponent in the welterweight division and a fight against Neil Magny can be a perfect matchup to find out how good Khamzat Chimaev really is.
But, this fight will not be easy for Khamzat Chimaev. He has struggled a lot with COVID-19. And it will be a challenge for Chimaev to get into the octagon again and do what he did in his last three fights. Nevertheless, it should be a highly anticipated fight for the fans.

Neil Magny puts on a much better performance against Geoff Neal
Magny’s last performance against Michael Chiesa was one of his worst performances in recent times. However, against Geoff Neal, he came out with a smart strategy. He was busier than Neal and put on a greater output to win the fight by decision.
Though Magny struggled in the first round against Geoff Neal his performance got better in the last two rounds. But, will that enough to beat Khamzat Chimaev who is a great wrestler himself with huge knockout power?
Khamzat Chimaev should be the favorite going into the fight. However, it won’t be an easy task for Chimaev as has not been tested by someone as good as Neil Magny so far in his career.
