Belal Muhammad’s rise in the UFC has been nothing less than spectacular. Belal’s decision to step in against Leon Edwards back in 2020, just a month after his fight against Dhiego Lima earned him the respect of fight fans around the world. While the outcome may not of the fight did not go in in his favor, Belal Muhammad has been on a cruise ever since. He has both of his last two fights, picking up wins over the likes of Demian Maia and Stephen Thompson.
Belal’s dominant win over Stephen Thompson puts him right into the top of the UFC’s welterweight division, and it won’t be wrong to say that he could be next for a title shot should he secure another win to his name. Belal Muhammad is on a six-fight win streak and is only getting better. He is scheduled to fight Vicente Luque next in a rematch on April 16 at UFC Fight Night 206.
10-1 since the last fight.. i earned the rematch doubt me all you want this fight isn’t personal for me it’s not about revenge I’m a different fighter he’s a different fighter this is a new fight there will be a new result and by the end of the year I’ll be the new champ

Belal Muhammad took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the match-up and stated that his rivalry with Vicente Luque is not personal. Both the fighters have shared the Octagon in the past, with Luque emerging victorious via first-round KO. Luque and Muhammad shared the cage back in 2016 at UFC 205.
Can Belal Muhammad beat Vicente Luque?
It won’t be wrong to say that not many fans gave Belal Muhammad a chance against Stephen Thompson. While a lot of fans did show concern over Thompson’s takedown defense following his lackluster performance against Gilbert Burns, Belal Muhammad’s dominance of Stephen Thompson was something to behold.
There’s no denying that Belal Muhammad has gotten a lot better over the years, however, someone like Vicente Luque could still pose huge problems. Luque is a heavy hitter and with a credible ground game. Luque’s win over Michael Chiesa goes on to reflect his dangerous skill-set. It’s an exciting match-up and one that is bound to get the attention of fight fans around the world. Who do you think gets his hand raised when Vicente Luque and Belal Muhammad share the cage later this year?
