Dustin Poirier saved all the trash talk for the end of the fight, and rightfully so. The former interim lightweight champion did not engage in trash talk ahead of the fight at UFC 264, barring the occasional replies to McGregor’s words. However, after everything was said and done, the former interim lightweight champion did not hold back and took several jibes at the Notorious Conor McGregor.
Conor McGregor entered the UFC Octagon with the applause of the Vegas crowd who were on their feet as the fan-favorite McGregor once again brought back the Billionaire strut. However, Dustin Poirier had the last laugh as he mimicked the famous Billionaire strut made famous by the WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

As the injured McGregor sat near the side of the cage, Poirier walked up to him with the billionaire strut to mock the Notorious for his past comments. That wasn’t all as Poirier’s wife Jolie Poirier also showed a middle finger to the Notorious amid recent controversy surrounding McGregor and Dustin Poirier’s wife Jolie Poirier.
Ahead of the fight, McGregor claimed that Poirier’s wife sent her a DM to his Instagram handle, instigating a bitter war of words, and attacking Poirier personally as well.
Conor McGregor brings back the billionaire strut
McGregor’s billionaire strut used to be the talk of the town. However, in his recent fights, McGregor stopped doing it. Needless to say, ahead of what was the most important fight of his mixed martial arts career, the Notorious brought back the strut much to the surprise of many fight fans.
Be that as it may, after everything was said and done, it was Poirier who walked out of the Octagon with a title opportunity at his back and back-to-back stoppage wins over one of the finest strikers in the world of mixed martial arts.
It won’t be wrong to say that it’s tough being a McGregor fan right now. Only time will tell what lies ahead for the former two-weight champion, however, as things stand today, Poirier is the better fighter and will look to become the undisputed lightweight champion next.
