Dustin Poirier is all set to auction off the $100k Conor McGregor chain gifted to him by YouTuber turned professional boxer, Jake Paul. Earlier, Paul had ridiculed McGregor by making a custom-made chain of a knocked-out McGregor from back at UFC 257 where he suffered a second-round KO loss against the former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier.

Needless to say, McGregor’s horrific leg injury in the trilogy bout added more salt to the wound with Jake Paul offering the chain to Dustin Poirier after the conclusion of UFC 264. Paul joked whether Poirier wanted the leg snapped off from the chain in a sheer reminder of the horrific leg injury he suffered at UFC 264.

Dustin Poirier quickly responded “send it over” and now it looks like the former interim lightweight champion will be auctioning off the chain with the proceeded going to his foundation, the Good Fight Foundation.
Can we see Jake Paul and Conor McGregor share the boxing ring?
In the lead-up to UFC 264, McGregor had not denied the idea of fighting Jake Paul in the near future considering he continues to do what he is doing. Jake Paul once again called out McGregor in the recently concluded press conference in promotion of his next boxing bout against Tyron Woodley.
aye @DustinPoirier want me to ship this to you?

I think you deserve it

Jake Paul called out McGregor and claimed that everybody laughing at him for calling him out knows that the tables have turned in his favor. It won’t be wrong to say that Jake Paul has the upper edge on McGregor at least as far as the trash-talk goes, and the YouTuber turned professional boxer is making the most of McGregor’s loss to promote himself.
Speaking on the possibility of fighting McGregor inside the boxing ring, here’s what Jake Paul had to say.
“I think it could happen. The funny thing about this journey is I have predicted everything that has happened so far. 18 months ago when I said I want to fight Conor people laughed at me. Now I am laughing at Conor with a broken ankle sitting in the octagon. And he needs Jake Paul more than I need him. So my offer to Conor is 23 dollars. And if we ever fought I would knock those fake a** teeth right out of his mouth.”
While it looks very unlikely, never say never as the world of combat sports entertainment has seen several fantasy match-ups coming to fruition. It won’t be wrong to say that at one point even Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor looked like a distant thought.
So if Jake Paul can cement his position as a credible boxer, and win his next fight against former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, it’s safe to say that sky is the limit for Jake Paul.
