Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, has captivated fans throughout his entire career and has made a name for himself as one of the greatest entertainers of all time. He is widely known not just in the wrestling industry but also in Hollywood as one of the highest-paid actors in the world.
The Rock forayed into Hollywood after garnering a huge reputation for himself as one of the most charismatic wrestlers of all time. The eight-time WWE Champion has been at the top of his game with several memorable wrestling performances. He has fought legendary names in the industry, including Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and Goldberg, among others.

He was also known as one of the pioneers of The Attitude Era, a time in WWE that helped make the company what it is today. His exceptional expertise as a wrestler and entertainer isn’t a coincidence. Dwayne Johnson comes from a rich family of wrestlers, and he is a third-generation superstar.
Coming from the rich Anoa’i family, a great Samoan wrestling family, The Rock was preceded in the industry by his grandfather Peter Maivia. His father, Rocky Johnson, was also one of the foremost stars of his day and was instrumental in shaping the modern dynamics of the industry. He is also a WWE Hall of Famer. Dwayne Johnson’s mother was Ata Maivia. Ethnically The Rock is half-black, half-Samoan.
The Rock has himself married twice. His first marriage was to Dany Garcia. The couple got married in 1997 and were divorced in 2008. The WWE legend then tied the knot with Lauren Hashian, with the couple having two children. Johnson’s eldest daughter, Simone Johnson, who he had with Garcia, is currently the first-ever fourth-generation wrestler in WWE history. She is plying her trade in NXT as Ava Raine.
Dwayne Johnson is also related to current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns
Johnson’s rich wrestling heritage does not extend to only his immediate family but also branches out to the rest of his family members as well. Roman Reigns, who in his own right is a third-generation wrestler, is a cousin of The Brahma Bull and one of the biggest heels in the company.

The Samoan dynasty doesn’t end there, as The Usos and Solo Sikoa also represent the family. They are Dwayne Johnson’s cousins and are sons of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. They represent the other half of the family, the Fatus, and have been regular performers in the ring. Other notable members of the family include Yokozuna, Rosey, and Umaga. However, they are not directly related to The Rock.
