The Fortnite Item Shop has not featured Travis Scott’s Icon Series Outfit for a long time. This seemed pretty strange considering that other Icon Series Outfits have frequently been released to the Item Shop. It appears that disputes and unanticipated events caused the cosmetics to be elevated.
Travis Scott has returned to the music scene five years after the release of his previous studio album, which sparked a significant partnership with Fortnite and the first-ever in-game concert.
The singer has released “Utopia,” his fourth studio album, as the follow-up to Astroworld, but it hasn’t been without criticism, and it has also affected his gaming partnerships.
Travis Scott is welcome in Fortnite. I’m just not in the loop on item shop rotations so I don’t know what’s coming when, or what specific agreements with celebrities and brands affect the timing of those decisions.

A fan questioned Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney if Travis Scott’s cosmetics were blocked in a tweet about an unrelated matter, resulting in a shocking discovery.
Here’s what Tim Sweeney said “Travis Scott is welcome in Fortnite. I’m just not in the loop on item shop rotations so I don’t know what’s coming when, or what specific agreements with celebrities and brands affect the timing of those decisions.”
Tim Sweeney claims that Travis Scott is welcomed in the Fortnite game. He is unclear when the Icon Series Outfit will be available in the Item Shop, though, because he is unaware of the rotation cycles. Given that he does not work in the cosmetics industry, it makes perfect sense.
Past collaboration between Travis Scott and Fortnite
The “Astronomical” event, a virtual concert featuring Grammy-nominated rapper Travis Scott, took place on Fortnite’s terrain in April 2020. This event, which drew a whopping 12.3 million concurrent players, featured Scott’s music and brought a one-of-a-kind Travis Scott skin to the game.
The skin is a digital portrayal of Scott and has received praise for its appearance and features. It rapidly became a fan favorite, as expected.
Following the Astroworld disaster in November 2021, Epic Games decided to ban all Travis Scott-related merchandise from the Fortnite shop. Although the precise date of this removal is unknown, it signified a significant shift in the game’s relationship with the artist.
Scott’s fans are now pleading with Epic Games and Tim Sweeney to bring him back to Fortnite to celebrate the release of his new album Utopia. Neither Epic Games nor Scott has expressed any desire in putting on another concert, and while Sweeney has stated that there is no prohibition on Scott’s return, you’d think Epic Games wouldn’t want to provoke a potential scandal of this magnitude so easily.
